Five years later, there were projects of two coats of arms,in 1819 it was approved by the image of a new main character Chile. This grand in conception image was located on the circular blue shield. At its center is the same column on a blue oval background, surrounded by laurel branches (not the palm) and spears. Laurel acted as a symbol of peace, spears showed readiness to fight with the enemies.
