Once on Monday I arrived at the rides inSochi Park and found out that they have a day off today. What should a tourist do when on the street it is pouring out of the bucket, and he is already standing in the middle of Sochi Park? My option: visit the Museum of Retro Cars, which is popularly called Avtomuzey in Sochi. This is a huge pavilion in the northern part of Sochi Park, where dozens of unique exhibits from the history of the Soviet automobile industry are gathered under one roof, and I don’t know a single boy between 5 and 45 years old who would remain indifferent to technology. Rating avtomuzey not the highest, but I was filled. Whether childhood spent in the Soviet Union, or, in principle, some love for cars. Not that I was delighted, but did not regret it at all.

Avtomuzey in Sochi
Total avtomuzeev in Olympic Park 2: one with retro cars, and the second with sports cars (near the Formula 1 track), but I didn’t go to the second, so the pictures in the article will be nostalgic for the USSR. There is really a large collection of Soviet cars that you will not find on the roads. The hangar is chock full of old, renovated cars, some of which I saw live on the streets of Moscow. And we are not talking about the relatively old, but nevertheless modern “pennies”, but about “Seagulls”, “VMS”, “Victory”, motorized carriages of type FDD and other brands that have departed into the depth of history.
The only thing the creators of the museum would cost moreto pay attention to any geolocation services where people like me choose places to visit. If Yandex Maps are written right away - “retro cars”, then for example on Google maps it is necessary to more precisely define the subject of the museum. When you see an incorrectly signed point on the map, you do not know that only the domestic auto industry is waiting for you. Perhaps this is why the museum is given a small rating due to disappointment and high expectations. Or on the contrary, someone does not want to stare at “just cars”, but with pleasure would have looked at old retro cars, and the museum loses its client.
Most of all I was interested to look atvery old models that I have not found. For example, a vintage fire truck, or a wheelchair, known from the movie with Morgunov “Operation Y”, all-wheel drive “Victory” and “Victory” is a cabriolet, a short “ZIS” with an automatic gearbox and developing a speed of up to 200 km / h and so on. Yes, even at the sparkling novelty penny it was nice to look, because my grandfather owned exactly the same. And may I have seen her later throughout my life, and even traveled to her not so long ago. But now, how many people remember that there was a kopek station wagon, or rather a “two”. I remember that. Like all AvtoVAZ models numbered from 1 to 12, which I learned in my childhood I don’t know why.
Information to visit
The cost of an adult ticket is 500 rubles, for children under 7 years old free of charge, from 7 to 12 rubles - 250 rubles each. The price for visiting is more or less normal.
Individual excursion for 1-2 people - 1000 rubles per person. The company - from 600 to 400 rubles per person, depending on the size of the group.
Shooting inside the museum is free. You can take a retro outfit for shooting on your camera - 150 rubles for the service. Well, so as not to be boring, I would advise taking an audio guide for 200 rubles. From myself I can recommend compulsory visits to the museum for those interested in Soviet cars, or came into contact with the USSR myself, that is, older people. Who else remembers the words of the USSR, the pioneer tie, operation “Y”, brick-15 and orange gum with Dunno on the wrapper.
