When is the best way to climb all kinds of observation platforms? That's right, in clear and sunny weather. But this is not about us, as in the situation with Olympic tower in Munich, we are not lucky. On the first day of our arrival in Kuala lumpur The weather was the best, but we lasted all day after a long and sleepless journey. And what was our surprise that the rest 3 days it was raining and the city was covered with a haze of clouds.
Near the tower grows a tall and thick tree, which is almost a hundred years old. When Menara was built, the locals did not allow it to be cut, and now it grows nearby, and Bukit Nanas Park is made around it.

Menara Tower in Kuala Lumpur
Menara (Menara Kuala Lumpur or Menara KL Tower)- a television tower with a height of 421 meters, considered the 4th tallest in the world among similar towers, according to the builders themselves. True, their opinions differ from Wikipedia, because progress does not stand still, and towers were built higher, and in reality it is now the 6th highest in the world.
However, for us it is not so much the height of the Menara Tower itself that is important, but the height of its observation platform, and here Menara will be in one of the first places, at least exactly above the Ostankino Tower.

A little upset because of the bad weather, we allsame climbed the tower of Menara. We bravely waited for the end of the rain, sitting in a cafe at the foot and eating the food brought with us, but we did not wait. Above the rain was not visible, but the horizon was all enveloped in white mist, and it’s a pity because there is a chain of mountains.

Nevertheless, we did not regret how muchspent time and money. I’m for sure, because my element is air, and I love all kinds of heights. We were higher than all the skyscrapers in the area, well, except maybe Petronas Twin Towers (Petronas).

At the entrance to the Menara view platform to allissued a media player with a screen and headphones, with which the virtual guide will give you a tour in Russian! There are other languages, if after long wanderings you have already forgotten how to perceive the Russian language. There is only one difficulty here - it is quite difficult to simultaneously photograph, listen and find the sights told by Kuala Lumpur outside the window.

I was also pleased that at almost every checkpoint (specific point of the excursion) there are free binoculars, and you can see what the boss does with his secretary in the nearby skyscraper.

Cultural Village
In addition to the viewing platform attached to the ticketappendage to choose from: Cultural Village (Cultural Village) or Animal Zone (Mini Zoo) + F1 slot machine + pony rides. Our choice fell on the village, because we are “smart,” and it was time to go out in the open.

Most of all we were pleased with the bamboo house. Twenty years ago, I could only dream of such a thing, building huts in the trees with other boys.

After inspecting all the huts, and finally getting wet, the caring staff of the village offered us an umbrella. Just in time.

If you have time, also go to the park.Bukit Nanas, which is located at the foot of the tower. Logging in is hard to find and easier to ask. For reference, the passage between the small gray building and the entrance to the Animal Zone leads to the entrance to the park.

Map Park Bukit Nanas
Bukit Nanas is a corner of the local jungle inthe city center, where you can get a little idea of the local flora without leaving the metropolis. It is small and begins with suspended bridges. For a moment, it seems that he has fallen into the past or into the film “And Thunder Has Been Boiled,” after the story of the same name by Ray Bredberry.
Please note that it closes at 6 pm. Apparently specially before the darkness is closed.

Life hacking 1 - how to buy a good insurance
Choosing insurance is now unrealistically difficult, so to help all travelers, I compile a rating. To do this, I constantly monitor forums, study insurance contracts and use insurance by myself.
Life hacking 2 - how to find a hotel 20% cheaper
First, choose a hotel on Booking. They have a good offer base, but the prices are NOT the best! The same hotel can often be found 20% cheaper in other systems through the RoomGuru service.
