Our travel to the south is not over yet.Russia, which we conducted as part of the “Russia for 365 days” project, but we returned home for a while. And we are already so full of impressions and thoughts that I cannot help sharing them. Whenever you travel a lot, something necessarily happens to you, you have a lot to see and understand a lot in life. I will not philosophize, just talk about our common impressions.
We were going to take a ride around Russia in order tocollect as objective information as possible about what Russia is, what kind of people, what nature, what kind of life in general. After all, everyone knows that Russia is not only Moscow and other major cities, millions of people live in villages, towns and small towns. And we had such an attitude that we tried to see only positive things in everything, because of something, and negatives about Russia and so on the Internet in bulk. And we must pay tribute, we have long adhered to this view and wrote articles in this vein. But at the same time, there were so many versatile emotions that they were bursting from the inside, and it seemed to me that it would be just not fair to write about this as well.
There is a lot of good in Russia, I honestly admitI did not expect so much. Unusual landscapes, the existence of which I did not even guess, (who knew that there are places in our country that look like savannas, prairies, deserts, fabulous forests and Martian landscapes in general. Well, we already not once written in previous articles.
But throughout the journey tracedone and the same tendency: even when we told people that we were trying to look positive in everything, and from this point of view they told us about their activities or what was happening in their region, every time after 30 minutes the conversation rolled off on problems, difficulties, etc.
Perhaps, of course, this is due to the fact that the Russian man is so arranged that he used to always complain, but what we learned did not please us either.
And involuntarily, we ourselves began to accumulate unanswered sad questions.
Why, for example, we only help thoselarge families who live in the city? Why privileges on transport, free food, etc. It does not rely on children living in the village and they have to pay the full cost for the bus, because transport running between villages is already considered intercity. And what about a family with 4 children studying in a nearby town?
Why a talented teacher to whompupils are drawn, and whose section on backpacking is overflowing two or three times, they do not want to raise the rate, according to the regulations they are not supposed to? And the salary is lower than the cost of a rented apartment. And what next for this person? To work at a loss for yourself, but at the same time to bring such benefits to the younger generation or to give up everything and go stupidly to earn money to feed your family? And let the teenagers go to the courtyards to drink beer, there is nothing for them to play sports?
Or why the pride of the village and almost the onlythe joy of many residents - racehorses, contained at the expense of budget funds, are planned to be taken to another city and sold, because the new head of administration did not include this article in the budget of the village?
Why on the Black Sea coast continuegrow like mushrooms, palaces, fenced with tall fences with guards, and where ordinary people could rest, now someone’s private beach and jetty, and the passage along the shore is blocked, and you have to make many kilometers of hooks to get to Remaining favorite wild resting place?
Why is everything that used to be done onvolunteerism by some altruist, and that suddenly began to make a profit, he tidies up someone’s hands, this person is biased, and in his place an “own” representative sits down who is not interested in the prosperity of this business and simply profitable place undeserved money? There were several such examples during the trip. The former children's camp has been bought out and has now become a recreation center, entrance to the territory of the archaeological museum-reserve is now paid, and development has almost stopped, all projects on tourist recreation, which are put forward by local residents, are not skipped in administrations. And then these same ideas are embodied by someone else and they are just making money from it. Any project that starts to make money is immediately commercialized, squeezed out in full, without new investments, and then rushes to the mercy of fate.
And nevertheless it pleases that, in spite of all these andothers, about which I did not tell, difficulties, not all people give up, and there are more and more new ideas, and there are still those who are trying to do something so that all of us began to live at least a little more interesting, more fun and more colorful . And for this, personally, from me, many thanks to these people!
