Wong Amat Beach is located in the north.Pattaya, and is the longest beach area Naklua. Some people call it the Naklu beach. This area is much more clean, quiet and green than the center of Pattaya, but it is not far from it. If desired, you can easily reach all the shops and attractions of the center.
The minus of Wongamat beach is that it’s not enoughnatural shade and sun beds for rent. Along the beach there is a footpath, on it go the territory of expensive high-rise hotels. Good comfortable sun beds hotels expose to the beach for their guests. At low tide the beach is very wide, and shallow in the water. At high tide this is a narrow strip of sand and immediately deep, waist-deep sea, which is often restless.
Near the hotel Centara
the arc of the beach ends with a cape with stoneplacers and large boulders in the water. There, along the beach, trees grow, giving a natural shade, and you can rent deck chairs and deck chairs under umbrellas. This part of the beach is more intimate and has a relaxed contemplation.
The water on the entire beach is not entirely clear and transparent. Garbage comes in the form of packages and the sea is unclear. But still, it is one of the cleanest beaches in Pattaya.

Beach description
The length of the beach is about one and a half kilometers, if you count with the adjacent cape from the south, which separates Wongamat from beach in the center of Pattaya. Wongamat North, roughly from R-Con Wong Amat Suite
, neglected and deserted.
It’s rather just a strip of littered sand.between the sea and hotel fences, interspersed with stone placers in the water. The central part of Wongamat beach is the cleanest and with some infrastructure. Near the hotel Centara
where the arc of the beach turns into a cape with sandybraids and large boulders in the water, there are several beach cafes and bars. Next to them hang out in the water boats. There is a small, unwieldy patch of stones, shells and mud in the water.
Further, towards the center of Pattaya, there is a cape with littered deserted areas, stones and small strips of sand between them, where you can swim. In the middle of the cape is the Cape Dara Hotel.
. Part of the beach adjacent to its territory is thoroughly cleaned, but there are many sharp stones and shells in the water and around it. The cape ends with the hotel Dusit Thani Pattaya
, the territory of which separates the Naklu district from the central embankment.
The width of the beach is on average about 20 m, maybemore or less, depending on the phase of the ebb and flow. Around the center of the beach, under the trees, along the footpath there is a small market with fruits, tourist goods and offers of massage, braids, etc. Merchants walk along the beach, especially many of them in season. At the same time, the beach becomes crowded, at times almost crowded.
There are many Russian tourists, so much so that the nearby streets of the Naklua district are full of inscriptions in Russian. Nearby there is also an Orthodox church - the church of St. Nicholas the Miracle.
Sunset, depth and waves
The best place for swimming is the middle and south.part of the beach. In the center, the coast descends to the water under a strong inclination, the entry into the water is sharp at high tide, almost immediately to the waist. At low tide, finely shorter, lower than the knee. Accordingly, in the tide of the beach there is only a few meters wide between the water and the path, and at low tide it is a wide strip, there is where to sit and walk.
The water is cloudy, slightly muddy bottom, noticeable israther at low tide. Sand is yellow and fine. Lighter sand on the spit, between large boulders. Often there are waves, especially on the cape. There are sharp stones in the water, you should go in and bathe with caution.
Sun beds and shade
In the center of the beach loungers mainly from hotels, forrent them still need to search. The vegetation is also not at all thick and not continuous. There are trees, but there is little shade from them in the afternoon. Morning and evening, at sunset - the best time to visit. On the northern part of the beach there is nothing, no shadow, no sun loungers, no infrastructure.
From the southern edge, to the cape, where there are stones, there is also vegetation and sun beds with umbrellas for rent. A good place to hide from the scorching southern sun.

Infrastructure
In this area, right on the beach, is Temple of Truth, about a kilometer in a straight line from the northern end of Wongamat Beach. This is Pattaya’s biggest attraction. There are many shops in the Naklua district in the alleys and on the main road of Naklua Road.
Alley with numbers, - streets between the beach andthe main road, Naklua Road, which runs parallel to the coastline. In the area, between the main road and the territories of large hotel complexes along the beach, there is Tesco Express, several Family Mart, many cafes, laundries, pharmacies, fruit trays, etc.
Naklua district, between the 16th and 22nd alleys -fairly well maintained, there is little dust and debris, if a wasteland, then rather behind a neat fence and neatly overgrown. On the “second line”, i.e. on the road outside the territories of large hotels and condos, come across Family Mart, on the main road there are 7-Eleven and others. Closer to the south are many cafes and shops. Frequent signs in Russian: pharmacies, travel agencies, souvenirs.
On the beach, cafes and bars are located to the left ofaccess to the beach of the 18th alley. Just there is a restaurant Rim Talay Seafood. Right there on the sand there is a beach volleyball court. In principle, this area is not far from the center and the street North, so all the attractions of the center can also be attributed to Naklua.
Houses and hotels on the beach
Mostly along the beach are expensive high-altitudehotels and condos. Next to the restaurant Rome Talay there is also a small bungalow type hotel. There are a lot of houses for rent, both for a long and short term, in that part of the Naklua district, which is closer to the fish market and behind the main road, i.e. quite far from the sea.
Large hotels on the beach:
in the north
- R-Con Wong Amat Suite
in the center
- Pullman Pattaya Hotel G

on South

on the cape

How to find the beach
Along beach in the center of Pattaya there is a road (Beach Road), which is behind the Amari hotel
(if you go north, it will be on the right) turns from the sea and leads to a circular motion, in the center of which is located a fountain with figures of dolphins. Several roads converge here.
To the right of the Beach Road will be the Second Beach Road, furthercounterclockwise, - a road called Northern, it leads to Sukhumvit. And directly, to the north, is the Naklya road, it goes parallel to the sea and leads to the fish market, after which the area becomes completely undeveloped by tourists. From Naklua Road to the sea go the alleys with numbers. They are tangled and often end in dead ends. But in several places lead to the beach.
The first (from the center) descent to the beach, in the form of a staircase with several spans, is located at the end of 22 lanes. 18th alley leads to the Rome Talay Fish Restaurant and the Centara Hotel
at the southern end of Wongamat. On the 16th avenue you can go to the narrow passage between the two fences, which leads directly to the beach, this is the northern exit. In the same place, on all these exits, you can park your own transport, there is not much space, but you can find it, especially for bikes.

Map of Wongamat Beach: Life hacking 1 - how to buy a good insurance
Choosing insurance is now unrealistically difficult, so to help all travelers, I compile a rating. To do this, I constantly monitor forums, study insurance contracts and use insurance by myself.
Life hacking 2 - how to find a hotel 20% cheaper
First, choose a hotel on Booking. They have a good offer base, but the prices are NOT the best! The same hotel can often be found 20% cheaper in other systems through the RoomGuru service.
