Education in Austria. Study in Austria - education abroad system
Education in Austria
Austria is famous not only for Vienna balls, operas, cakes, but also for its high-quality education. What are the advantages of an Austrian education?
- Opportunity to get a diploma of the international European standard;
- Internship and employment of students not only in Austria, but also in other European and German-speaking countries, such as Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg;
- The opportunity to perfectly master the German language;
- Students of Austrian universities have the right to choose when to take exams and on what topics to write their diploma and term papers.
Higher education in Austria
Some higher education institutions in Austria offer free education for bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. You can enroll in an Austrian university according to the program “Erasmus”, thanks to which students have the right to receive a monthly scholarship in the amount of 300-600 euros.
To be enrolled in an Austrian university, you do not need to pass entrance exams and know German (you can learn it in the course of study) - you just need to have a high school diploma.
On average, in higher educational institutions in Austria, students study for 3-6 years.
Despite the fact that students themselves determine when and what lectures they should attend, as well as set the deadlines for passing exams, studying at universities requires maximum self-discipline and organization from students (constantly postponing exams, you can become an eternal student).
To pass the exams, you need to carefully prepare: there are no tickets and answers to them that are usual for Russians. In Austrian universities, the system of writing, development and protection of projects prevails. In addition, you need to register for exams in advance (for some, even a month in advance).
Graduates of Austrian universities are valued in the world market for the reason that the grading system does not work in educational institutions “automatic” - they get education here not for the sake of “crust”, but for the sake of knowledge.
Work while studying
Having issued a permit, students can work a maximum of 10 hours a week (during the educational process) and no more than 3 months a year (on vacation)!
Having received education in Austria, you can apply for a residence permit in the country as “key employee” or take care of your employment in other European companies.
