First opened in 1911, the zoo in Rome initially did not pursue any scientific or research goals. Its meaning, according to the organizers, consisted only in the amusement and amusement of the public. Opening hours:

  • From January to March inclusive, the park is open from 09.30 to 17.00.
  • From April 1 to October 25 - from 09.30 to 18.00.
  • From October 26 to December 31 - from 09.30 to 17.00.

Ticket offices stop selling tickets one hour before the park closes.
The entrance price depends on the age of the guest and some other circumstances:

  • An adult ticket costs 15 euros.
  • Children over one meter tall and under 12 years old are eligible for benefits. For them, the entrance price is 12 euros.
  • Elderly guests over 65 can visit the park for free on all days except Wednesdays and holidays, when they have to pay 5 euros for a ticket.
  • Toddlers shorter than one meter tall, military and police officers with a photo ID and persons with disabilities enter the Zoo of Rome free of charge.
