Districts of Nha Trang
Want to know more about the districts of the provincial capital Khanh Hoa? Take a look at the map - there are 28 units of Nha Trang (urban are 20 of them, and 8 are suburban), but travelers are encouraged to explore areas of interest from a tourist point of view.
Names and descriptions of districts in Nha Trang
- European Quarter: a bustling area (complete silence comes after 1 am) with famous discos, restaurants and bars, where the port is located, as well as a cable car that leads to the hotel “Vinpearl”. It is worth noting that, despite the muddy sea water (it is not dirty - the peculiarity of the water is due to the flow of a river into the sea, which carries particles in the form of sand and silt), you can swim here.
- Vinh Diem Trung: despite some distance from the center, this area is interesting for its proximity to large shops and the availability of inexpensive housing.
- Ngokhiep: those who want to improve their health, restore the nervous system and get rid of some skin diseases - this is possible thanks to the wellness procedures that are carried out here using water from a mineral spring.
Attractions of Nha Trang
Tourists will be able to see the Long Son Pagoda (the pagoda is a temple, in the main building of which there is a bronze statue of Buddha, more than 1.5 m high), Bao Dai's villa (in the museum collection, photos, national clothes, personal belongings of members of the imperial family deserve attention; if desired you can walk through the tropical park that surrounds the villas), Po Nagar towers (out of 10, 3 towers have survived, each of which acts as a worship of a certain deity; one of them is famous for a 10-handed statue, more than 2.5 m high; it is worth coming here in March for a 2-day festival, accompanied by colorful ceremonies and theatrical performances), the Nha Trang Cathedral (reflects the French Gothic style; it is worth admiring the huge colored stained glass windows), visit the Tri Nguyen aquarium (guests will be offered to look at the commercial, predatory and aquarium decorative fish) and the Oceanographic Museum (you can see not only stuffed birds and alcoholized inhabitants of the sea depths, but also a large sk eats a whale), have fun in an amusement park “Vinpearl Land” (will delight guests with a mini-circus, attractions, including water, “singing” fountains, orchid garden).
Where to stay for tourists
For tourists, in particular, active tourists, the European Quarter (tourist area) is excellent - here you should pay attention to “Seaand sun” (from here you can quickly and conveniently get to the airport) and “Diamond bay”. As for inexpensive hotels, you should look for them near Tran Phu Street and along Bien Thu.
It is worth noting that the convenience of living in the European Quarter is due to the fact that tourist buses and minivans from other Vietnamese resorts often arrive in this quarter (you do not have to get to the hotel on the checkpoints or spend time searching for the area).
