The Shanghai Zoo is open 365 days a year, but opening hours vary depending on the season:
- In the winter months from December to February inclusive, the park opens at 08.30. Tickets stop selling at 3.30 pm and visitors must leave the grounds at 4.30 pm.
- During the rest of the year, the zoo is open from 08.00 to 17.00. Ticket offices finish selling tickets one hour before closing.

- Seniors over 70 years old - 65 RMB.
