Before boarding a train, it must be punched in a special terminal on the platform. For children under 4 years old travel is free. Children from 4 to 11 years old receive a discount on train tickets. If necessary, a ticket can be purchased in the carriage from the conductor, but it will cost more than a ticket bought at the box office.

The Netherlands railway is considered one of the busiest in the world. Any locality in the country can be reached from Amsterdam. Trains leave from the central station every 15 minutes. Traffic does not stop at night. Trains depart hourly from Rotterdam to Utrecht.
