Budget hotels in Ayutthaya - where to stay

I will not do a detailed review of hotels in Ayuthaya, I will describe a couple of them and orientate them on prices. I chose a certain area for stopping, in my opinion it is very convenient: there is a market, bike rental, Family Mart, and minibuses go back to Bangkok from here. And also from here it is very close to the ancient capital of Ayutthaya. But I do not exclude that somewhere in the vicinity there is something else good and budgetary. They say there are a lot of guesthouses near the railway station.

Hotels that I went around

Before moving on to the description of hotels, I want to recommend RoomGuru - an excellent search service that is not inferior in functionality to any of the leaders in this segment, but at the same time, there are often more favorable offers for the hotel you are interested in. In Asia, for example, there are a lot of offers on Agoda.com, which are much more interesting than for exactly the same hotels on Booking.com.

P.U. Inn Resort

P.U. Inn Resort - two different hotels nearby, one owner, but different receptions. Each has rooms with fans and air conditioning. I happened to live in both. The place is popular, so there was not much choice. I spent 1 night in a room with a fan, two more in a room with an air conditioner, but in a different building.

600-800 baht per air-conditioned room for 2-3 people.

Nice room, albeit small. There is everything you need, clean and tidy. Internet works well.

A year after my stay, they made a swimming pool in the hotel. If so, then it's even good, there is now where to swim after the hellish heat, and the hotel has become even cooler :)

Other guesthouses

First, a map of where these guest houses are located.

  • Tony’s Place - rooms with a fan from 300 baht.
  • At the corner of the guesthouse - with a fan 350 baht, with air conditioning 450 baht. There are other rooms for 300 baht, but dumb.
  • B.J1.Guesthouse - a dilapidated guest house in the alley, in the same place as P.U.Inn with prices from 150 baht (there is a price in the picture).
  • Where bike rentals (200 baht / day, return at 8pm), there are rooms for 250 baht with a fan.

A complete list of hotels in Ayutthaya can be seen on RoomGuru and booked there. In the season, it is better to do this in advance, otherwise there will be no numbers, I almost did it, I took the last one and waited a long time until it was free.
