Cheap hotel in Kuala Lumpur and Chinatown
Coming from Thailand to Malaysia, we had to moderate our appetites for hotels. Here, somehow everything went up in price at once. Judging by the booking systems, prices start from 60-70 RM (600-700 rubles) per double (everything is very convenient on RoomGuru watch). There are singles, there are also dormitory (dormitories) with beds, which will be cheaper. But in any case, for this minimum money, you will receive only the minimum.
So, the cheapest and most budget hotels in Kuala Lumpur are located in Chinatown. This is such a Chinatown where, oddly enough, the Chinese live. Well, not only live, they still work, rest, create a crowd, turmoil, and garbage.
Many who stayed in Chinatown cursed that it was very difficult to get to the hotel in the evening, when the market was unfolding here, and at the noise from the hucksters outside the window. First of all, we are talking about Petaling Street - the central street of Chinatown, where all this action takes place.

Our City Hotel
We were lucky with our hotel in this regard. Although he was located on Petaling Street in Chinatown, he was located at the beginning of this street, where there are no shopping malls, and, accordingly, you can walk without problems and the noise does not interfere. Walk about five minutes from Pasar Seni metro station.
Also, the noise does not interfere, also because there are no windows in the rooms. More precisely, ours was not. And either rooms with windows are more expensive, or there are just very few of them. That, in principle, does not exclude each other. In fact, windows are not needed if you come there only to spend the night. However, the humidity in the building is very high, and it can only be dealt with with an air conditioner, which is what we did when trying to dry the washed things..
Price and booking
Standard Double or Twin - 88RM. Superior 1 Double + 1 Single Beds - 118RM.
At the City Hotel, we stayed at the standard for 70 RM, because when booking via the Internet there were discounts for this room. True, we booked it in this way only for 2 days, and after that we extended it for another two days on the spot, having agreed for 78 RM, which is still cheaper. So here you can try to drop the price.

Be sure (and I insist) to check for discounts or special offers on the excellent Roomguru service. He will quickly and easily show you discounts for the hotel you need in different booking systems. In Asia, for example, there are a lot of offers on Agoda.com, which are much more interesting than for exactly the same hotels on Booking.com.
For example, the same hotel, only in the RoomGuru service: City Hotel .
Interior
The room is clean, relatively normal furniture, there is a TV, a standard shower on the floor, air conditioning, cups, an electronic key, free Wifi Internet (worked without problems), towels, linen, soap. Free hot and cold water available on the floor.
The cheapest and most budget - hotel Oasis
Directly opposite the City Hotel is the Oasis Guest House, which, judging by the reviews, is the cheapest one here. We met a Russian guy from China, who just lived here, and went to visit him.
Price and booking
The prices for doubles here are 25 RM (250 rubles) with a fan, and 40 RM (400 rubles) with air conditioning. Book here.
Despite the fact that the owner told us that the rooms diverge like hot buns, we had free rooms.
Interior
Most of all, it looks like a hostel or a guesthouse, where everything is minimal, but there is a common room with a TV, a small kitchen and a shared refrigerator. Everything is a little dirty and old, but the price is appropriate. Internet - free Wifi, worked fine.
The rooms have nothing but beds. Toilets and showers are on the floor and shared. In general, if you are not a demanding person or student, then this is the place for you..
Chinatown
All the action in Chinatown begins in the late afternoon - an empty street becomes a noisy and crowded market, which is quite difficult to walk through. There is a small hint - to quickly go right through Petaling Street, you need to walk not along the street itself, but clinging to the buildings, there seems to be a corridor, where there is almost no one.
In addition to trays with clothes, all sorts of food and tea are also unfolded. To be honest, I didn't like the food there, not only is it not cheap, but also somehow dirty there. I'm more of a Thai food lover now. Tea is also not a fountain, especially a dark one, it looks more like a mixture.
Closer to midnight, the market, like a princess, turns into a pumpkin an empty street littered with garbage knee-deep.
