Flashmob in Moscow to launch sky lanterns
Haven't you been to Thailand? Or were you, but already miss him and his beautiful holidays? Then you should have been at Borisovskie Ponds in Moscow last night. At 22:40 there was a flash mob to launch sky lanterns. And the action succeeded, I tell you.
How it goes in Thailand, I already wrote - Loy Krathong Festival and Yi Peng Festival, or New Year in Thailand. Of course, in the land of smiles, thousands of flashlights are launched, and not only on official holidays, but simply on birthdays. Initially, I did not quite understand what the thrill was, but when I started the flashlight a couple of times, it dawned on me that this was a kind of immersion in childhood and getting joy out of nothing.
So, yesterday in Moscow, despite the last downpour and cloudy sky, about 200 people gathered, and it's great that bad weather did not affect people in any way. At about 22 o'clock, people began to cluster on the bank of the pond, talked and waited for the spectacle. Most of all I was pleased with the absence of drunk or drinking people. Indeed, why, when and so much fun.
At 22:20, the sky lanterns began to unfold, read instructions, write their wishes on them and, of course, take pictures in front of them. If in Thailand, lanterns are ordinary cylindrical and white, then there is a greater variety: drawings, smiles, shapes in the form of hearts and domes.
At 22.38, the first lights appeared, and the first structures soaring upward. Many did this for the first time, so someone wondered why the flashlight did not take off, someone set it on fire at the very beginning ...
At 22.40, the enchanting action began. Hundreds of glowing multi-colored dots soared into the sky, accompanied by shouts and hooting. Very beautiful! Especially in the dark. All this lasted for about 10 minutes, new lanterns rose up, and the old ones disappeared over the horizon. And someone even brought fireworks with them ...
P.S. I noticed that Russian flashlights have an inappropriate fuel cell, they burn much less time, although for cold air it should be the other way around. As a result, the lanterns did not fly very far. In Tae, they flew away from the city, and climbed hundreds of meters.
