Kharkiv Zoo - winter photos of lonely animals

I am posting a few photos of the Kharkiv Zoo, where I was six months ago. I wandered into it shortly after a tour of Kharkiv Nature Museum. The conclusion I made is that you need to go to all zoos in the summer, unless, of course, this is some kind of tropical country. Some of the animals are hidden in warm rooms, and the rest on the street look rather sad. Still, such a system of keeping in cages is outdated and it is much more pleasant to watch animals in large enclosures or in general in nature, as is done in modern zoos in Asia or in some African national parks. I myself have not been, but heard a lot. On the other hand, how else can you make a zoo in the city center??

I liked this bird very much

Cute bird feeder

The hyena seems to be smiling

Flamingos look interesting against the background of heating batteries

Parrots in a three-meter cage squeal hysterically

Garbage should be thrown at the penguins

There are beautiful animals, there are those that you feel sorry for, and there are those that are even unpleasant to look at. For me, this was the boar. He's somehow nasty, to put it mildly. And yet I'm a little afraid of him. I would not like to meet him in the dark forest.

I would not like to meet one on one with a boar

Fierce beast

But another animal, I forgot what they are called (something like a gazelle), I wanted to stroke on the contrary. Such a clean, fluffy and soft coat ...

Very beautiful animal

There are also aquariums here. First of all, this pavilion was pleasant because it was warm there and did not smell like the others. In addition, colorful fish are pleasing to the eye and cheer up while it is cold and gray outside. I still remember Aquarium in Kuala Lumpur and its colorful inhabitants, some of which are in the outdoor pools and can be stroked.

There are not many backyards at the Kharkov Zoo and, as I understand it, soon there will be no more. All its large territory is used, there is not enough empty space.

The backyards are overgrown with grass and entangled in vines
