Sukhanovo estate - a pleasant atmosphere of desolation
Who would have thought that such a beautiful place would be just 15 minutes from our house. This is so strange, because we have been living here for several years. At the same time, I know so many beautiful places in Thailand, in the Krasnodar Territory, but I did not notice what was next to it. Should I start looking at the world with wide open eyes, suddenly I will notice something interesting under my nose.
The only pity is that this time the weather was unlucky, and therefore the photos turned out to be a little gloomy..

The Sukhanovo estate - our impressions
The Sukhanovo estate - at the moment we liked most of all, we wanted to return there again and ride a bike (hurray, you can do it here!). She's not as civilized as Ostafyevo, and several times less than Tsaritsyno. But in it there is that very atmosphere of antiquity, which is sometimes lacking, although desolation threatens to turn into serious ruins in the coming years, while they are figuring out who the owner of the estate is. However, the future ruins do not create a depressing impression at all, on the contrary, it is cozy and easy at home. And this despite the fact that the sky was all overcast and it was raining..
The paths here are not paved, but unpaved, the park itself looks more like a real forest, and looking at some buildings it seems that now ladies in white ball gowns will float out of there. On weekends, there are enough people in the Sukhanovo estate, but they are somehow dispersed throughout the territory and do not interfere at all. There are practically no parking spaces (if you can call it that), although finding where to leave the car is not a problem.
In Sukhanovo, there is now an operating (sort of) holiday home of the Union of Architects, but it is not clear who is resting in it - there is no infrastructure, there are a lot of strangers, the buildings are in disrepair. We ourselves saw only the dining room - the building that was in the past a mausoleum, one of those that is falling apart, and what are residential buildings is not clear.
The history of the Sukhanovo estate
The details are in Wikipedia, so I'll tell you briefly.
The first mention of the estate dates back to 1623, but it acquired its present appearance at the end of the 18th century, when it belonged to Melgunov and the Volkonsky princes. During the turbulent years of the revolution, the main house burned down, a lot was plundered, broken and taken away. For some time, a children's colony existed here. And in 1935 the estate passed into the possession of the Union of Architects in order to organize a holiday home. By this time, the church, some monuments, greenhouses had already been lost. The architects also did their bit, redesigned the main house for a residential building, rebuilt the Gothic mausoleum into a dining room ... During the restructuring, the division of property began and the estate suffered again. Some of what was preserved by the architects was plundered. At the moment, as I understand it, there is no owner (the issue has been resolved for many years) and therefore there is no restoration.
Manor Sukhanovo how to get and other information
The easiest way to get there is from Varshavskoe highway (the one to Podolsk). After passing Butovo at the first traffic light, turn left and go all the way, without turning anywhere. Do not fold at all! Even when the main road goes to the left (this will happen twice). As a result, you will find yourself at the gate of the estate. You can also drive along the Moscow-Don highway (M4) through Rastorguevo (near Vidnoe), but this is longer, since you will have to wander around the village a little along very bad and bumpy roads, I would not recommend this option.
By public transport, you must first get to the Rastorguevo station by train from the Paveletsky railway station. And from there take bus 379 or 59 to the stop of the Sukhanovo rest house. Alternatively, get to Rastorguevo from the Domodedovskaya metro station by buses 471, 364, and then, as in the previous version. You can also get to Butovo station from the Kursk railway station and then by bus 379 to Sukhanovo.
Entrance to the territory of the Sukhanovo estate is free. But you can't go inside by car, there is a guard at the gate. Although someone was still allowed there, apparently by special agreements (there are some organizations on the territory of the park). You can walk from several sides, somewhere there is no fence, but somewhere there are holes in it.
The official website of the Sukhanovo estate appeared in 2014 and then stopped working after a while. Also, while there is no museum and excursion visits to buildings, you can only go to the dining room and eat.
