Tsaritsyno Park - a walk, childhood memories, crowds of non-working people
Once we passed an analysis for genetics here not far from the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. «Why not take a walk?» - we thought, and soon we found ourselves under the crowns of majestic oaks and maples of the shady Tsaritsyn alleys. Apart from us, there were a decent number of people here: here and there couples with strollers scurried about, young people basked on the grass, and older people on benches ... and this is an ordinary working weekday. It seems to me that remote work and freelancing are more common than I thought, since there are so many people here during the day. Although this is generally noticeable in our area, as if no one is working at all ...

Childhood memories
Tsaritsyno Park has changed dramatically in recent years, and whoever visited it earlier, 10-20 years ago, understands what I mean. Since all my childhood I lived at Krasnogvardeyskaya station, Tsaritsyno park was the most accessible to us. If, of course, then it could be called a park - rather a forest and mysterious ruins. Not like now.
My friends and I climbed almost all the buildings, looking for the royal treasure. Most likely, we understood that he hardly existed, but it was much more interesting that way. In those days, only the Bread House was guarded, I remember how we scrambled from it, jumping from the second floor into the sand heap, when the watchman chased us. But the Grand Palace was a very sad sight - in fact, only walls overgrown with grass and trees. It was very difficult to get to the very top, since there were not even overlaps, but one day we nevertheless climbed there. Sorry no photos left since then.
And even earlier, when I walked under the table, in the cold winter I broke ice on Tsaritsyn's puddles. It was fun for me, but there was only one puddle, it turned out to be knee-deep, although in appearance it should not be. And I remembered not how we returned home headlong, but that in such situations we need to put a plastic bag on our bare leg and then everything else is wet on top :)
Pros and cons of improving Tsaritsyno park
On the one hand, it’s great that everyone was so ennobled: they made paths, lighting, a fountain, they fenced off the entire park with a fence and restored all the palaces. It is very convenient to walk with a stroller, there is no garbage and everything around is modern and pleasant to the eye. On the other hand, I would be glad to see some ruins there, some of the same antiquity left over from the time of Catherine. Now the buildings all look like new buildings (most likely they are), and Tsaritsyno Park has lost the atmosphere of historicity, if I may put it this way - it is badly felt that this place has a history. Although this does not make it less attractive for walking, the territory is huge, compared to Ostafyevo estate, which I wrote about a little earlier.
A positive aspect of the improvement is the fact that you can walk there calmly, despite the dense forest. Firstly, the entrances are equipped with frames and travels around Tsaritsyno «valiant and honest», and secondly, it is forbidden to drink alcohol. Previously, there were inadequate drunken people who came to barbecue. A big disadvantage, at least for me, is the ban on rollerblading and cycling. No, in order, on the contrary, to make bike paths and allow, since so much money was banged there, even for sightseeing electric cars went bankrupt. There is nowhere else to ride a bicycle in the south of Moscow. It was a great place for pokatushki, not to breathe exhaust gases along the roads.
And a few more photos of Tsaritsyno in the end.
Tsaritsyno park how to get there and other information
The two main entrances are at the Orekhovo metro station and at the Tsaritsyno metro station. Through what to enter there is no difference. Walk about 5 minutes from the metro. By car, it makes sense to go either to the Orekhovo metro station, there is parking there or through the Novotsaritsinskoe highway to the parking entrances near the Tsaritsyno metro station. But it is from the side of the Tsaritsyno metro that you cannot drive up to the park by car. There, a one-way traffic was made under the railway bridge, so you need to go exactly from the side of Orekhovo-Borisovo.

Tsaritsyn park
One of the most popular parks in Moscow. Most of it is a forest with old and tall trees. In my opinion, it is better to go from the Orekhovo metro station, the entrance is a minute from the metro.
