Why do people travel?
I never thought why people travel, why they try to spend their holidays not at home, to go somewhere?
In addition to banal reasons: to take a break from the hustle and bustle, change the picture in front of your eyes, see another ancient ruin, there are also deeper reasons, but more on that later. It is clear that a change of scenery is also a useful thing - new impressions, emotions and all that. After all, they say that in order to make the right decision, you need to distract yourself from the task at hand for a while and do something else. And where, no matter how on a journey, we can completely switch our attention to something completely new and unusual for us?
But if you look deeper - traveling is a great lesson, an amazing opportunity not only to understand a lot, but also to learn a lot, to change for the better faster and more efficiently! I only recently looked at travel from this side, and this observation surprised me quite a lot. During any trip, we, perhaps without even noticing it ourselves, go through so many lessons, we learn so much! And I'm not just talking about learning about local culture and sights, foreign language and etiquette, I'm talking about personal growth, no matter how loud it sounds. Indeed, in any trip, one way or another, you have to overcome yourself and your fears, learn to quickly make a decision and navigate on the spot, adapt to circumstances and new conditions, develop resourcefulness and, in some cases, perseverance.
Also, for self-development, it is advisable for a person to sometimes leave the comfort zone and specifically place himself in unusual conditions. For example, they can be hiking trips, hitchhiking, camping, well, or something that is unusual for you personally in your daily vacation. Moreover, this can be done not only in terms of recreation, but also in everyday life. It is very useful, sometimes amazing realizations come to mind, apparently because the brain gets stuck on such changes and the unnecessary circulation of thoughts goes aside, making room for what is really important.
There is also such a thing as the Vedas, and there is also a theory about why people need to travel. I will not assert the veracity, but there is a sense in this. There are four types of personality manifestation, and in order to feel and know life and yourself most fully, you should try yourself in all these four hypostases. One of which is the traveler.
It turned out to be a direct ode to travel. It is clear that you can develop yourself at home. But you must admit that traveling is much more interesting! And most importantly - more efficiently, because there is nowhere to go!
Yes, and most importantly, do not forget that traveling is just a part of life, and you should not just get hung up on them.
P.S. Why are you traveling? And why do people travel and why do you think?
