Taxi services in Belgrade
If you wish, you can stop the car on the street by raising your hand (it is not recommended to take a taxi on Terazije Street - you may be asked to pay 15 euros for 1 km of the way!) Or find a taxi at the taxi ranks located in large squares, busy streets and near shopping centers (since the drivers here take turns, it is advisable to get into the car that is to the right of the others). Advice: if you do not want to overpay for travel, then do not use the services of private traders.
Phones by which you can call a taxi: Pink Taxi: + 381 11 9803; Beogradski Taxi: + 381 11 9801; Lux Taxi: + 381 11 303 3123. After accepting the application, the dispatcher informs the approximate time after which the car will be delivered: if you order a taxi to the center, the car will arrive within 3 minutes, and if to the outskirts of the city - within 10-15 minutes.
It is worth noting that well-known taxi services accept orders in Serbian, but despite the fact that English-speaking dispatchers work there, they are often busy, which can create some difficulties for tourists who do not speak Serbian. Important: travelers with pets should keep in mind that the taxi driver has the right to refuse to transport them.
