How to rent an apartment in Voronezh for short term - our experience

Recently we went to Gelendzhik by car and on the way we stopped to spend the night in apartments, not hotels. I also tried Airbnb (my review). But in the comments to these articles, some people wrote that they like hotels more. I would really like to hear what exactly are the advantages of hotels in front of an apartment, if we are talking about Russia (not abroad!). In turn, I will write the advantages of renting an apartment and give a specific example of an apartment in Voronezh where we stayed.

The content of the article

Background

We needed to get from Moscow to Gelendzhik, and Voronezh is just a good place to spend the night on the way from Moscow to Krasnodar Territory..

At first I started looking for hotels from old memory. First through RoomGuru, since there will certainly be the maximum of everything shown (all booking systems at once). But there were not very many offers, moreover, either not very good in terms of reviews, or not suitable for us, or expensive (somewhere from 3 thousand and more). For example hotel Dubrava (from 2200r per day). Plus, not so long ago, our friends traveled along the same route and told where they stayed, according to their experience, the hotels were also decently worth it. Then I remembered that there are apartments and began to look at them already. Perhaps, if I had spent more time searching for hotels, then I would have found something normal, but after seeing the photos of apartments, such a desire did not arise, so we rented apartments for rent.

Here, of course, I must say that there are some comfortable conditions like a kitchen or a large area of the room, but in almost any scenario, an apartment turns out to be cheaper than a hotel, and is in no way inferior to it. Of course, there are hotels for 500 rubles, but it seems to me that it is better to spend the night in a tent then. I remember that somehow, without a child, we stayed in a motel in the form of a compartment carriage (right in front of Voronezh), paid 200 rubles for a bed with old linen, a total of 800 rubles for «the room» it worked out. That is, it is possible to stop very cheaply, but this does not suit us yet..

Apartment in Voronezh

Since I monitored Voronezh most of all, I will speak on his example. The cost of an apartment in Voronezh for a day on average ranges from 1000 rubles to 2000 rubles. There are more expensive ones, but not really necessary. We chose a certain average option for 1500 rubles.

What did we get for 1500 rubles

  • Large space, about 40-50 square meters, so that our Egor could crawl around after the cramped interior of the car
  • Renovation throughout the apartment, clean linen and towels
  • Bed and sofa, which is equally important, because I often sleep separately to sleep
  • Air Conditioning and Unlimited Wifi Internet
  • Kitchen with kettle, microwave and refrigerator where you can prepare meals for your child
  • Normal bath with washing machine
  • Possibility to leave after checkout

Where to rent

If anyone decides to rent an apartment in Voronezh for daily rent, then here is the landlord's phone number - + 7-920-211-6772 (Elena), she seems to have several apartments. I recommend without intermediaries. Better just to call in advance, otherwise everything may be already busy, we almost flew by.

But it is even better to search and book apartments on Airbnb, just as directly from the owners of the ad, only the service takes a small commission. The more I use this service, the more I like it, it is very convenient, you sit and choose in advance, then you book through the website and that's it. No calls and unnecessary gestures.

If you register with the service, you can get a $ 20 bonus using this link. The bonus can be used within a year after registration by making the first booking. And be sure to check out my post. about Airbnb, in which I told how to register, how to verify an account, how to look for accommodation, etc..

Minuses

The only negative in comparison with the hotel I see in the absence of a cafe. On the other hand, not all hotels have cafes, not all cafes have something edible, and not every cafe will be open around the clock. For example, we only checked into the apartment at about 11 pm. And with a strong desire, you can call somewhere along the road, if it is a large city. For us, this is not a minus at all, because in Russia we do not eat often in a cafe, and it is much more important for us to have a kitchen so that our son can cook something, he still cannot eat in a cafe in any situation.

It seems to me that this level of comfort is quite difficult to get in a hotel for 1,500 rubles. So, here's the question: why is an apartment worse than a hotel for you??

P.S. Perhaps other apartments where we have not been are much worse for the money, but everything I saw on Airbnb in Voronezh, judging by the photos, is very decent. So I'm in favor of renting an apartment!
