Kiseleva rock - wild rest at the cliff

I have already been to the Kiselev Rock several times. And long ago, when this place did not gain its popularity, and last fall, when we rode around the Krasnodar Territory. The place is beautiful and convenient for spending the night in a tent not far from Tuapse. Now, if it were still cleaner here, but more deserted ...

Kiselev rock

Kiseleva Rock is located not far from Tuapse, or rather between Tuapse and Agoy. It reaches a height of 46 meters, and if God forbid to fall, then the resulting «constructor» hardly anyone will collect. You can drive up to the rock by car, but more on that below. Now it is a popular place with people, but it remains beautiful to this day, at least for now. I can't say that I would advise to go there in the summer during the season, but I generally do not quite understand everyone who travels to the Black Sea as savages during this period..

The Kiselev Rock is named after the artist Kiselev, who was the first to capture it in his paintings. His dacha was located nearby on Cape Kadosh. True, it was back in the late 19th - early 20th century. I wonder if it weren't for this rock, would anyone know this artist? Or in another way to ask, if not for this artist, who would have known this rock? 🙂

Other places for wild rest can be seen in the article - Rest as a savage on the Black Sea.

For information on how to get there and where to pitch your tent

At the Agoy-Tuapse pass, you will need to turn right and then drive along a winding asphalt road until the first right turn. Turn right and after 200 meters on the asphalt immediately left onto a dirt road. On it after a while you will run into a parking lot. Travel here is normal and in bad weather. After going a little further we get to the very top of the Kiselev cliff. Approximately in the middle between the site on the Kiselev rock and the parking lot, there will be a path leading downward - this is a descent to the sea.

Tents can be set up in several places, a little wandering along the trails, you will understand everything yourself. Previously, they were placed next to the parking lot, since there is a flat area. But there may be a large number of cars, and even those who come just for a couple of hours to walk around the neighborhood..

There are other turns that lead not quite to the Kiselev rock, but also not far away. So, skip the first right turn, and turn on the second. There, a dirt road immediately begins, and in one place there is a not very good section of the road - a strong slope, it is difficult to drive a regular car without catching on to anything. But mostly tents live here. In September, we were generally alone there (it's better to go on weekdays).

There is also a third turn. The dirt road is good only at the beginning. Further, it branches into two: the right one leads down and there is now a toll entrance (barrier), straight ahead - to the toll detour. It is not always possible to pass. We got stuck, or rather drove down the right road, and could not get up, it was very slippery.

Detailed information about where to put up a tent, how to get there on foot and by car, as well as what to see there, in addition to the rock itself, can be found in the post of my friends Skala Kiselyova. Everything you wanted to know.
