Budget hotel in the heart of Chaweng - Chaweng Park Place
After the old Chaweng Resort, I moved to a more budgetary place and further from the sea. In general, it is also a good hotel, mainly due to its location. In the very center of Chaweng, close to everything. Although the hotel was a bit old, it was quite good for the money.

Price and booking
At Chaweng Park Place I had the simplest Superior room for 975 baht. Deluxe was already for 1,716 baht, that is, almost 2 times more expensive.
In my opinion, for this amount, it is already better to take something like Chaweng Resort (where I was before) or somewhere on the first line, but budget travelers can just stay in Superior. In terms of price and quality ratio very much! During the year, the price does not change much, but it happens a little more expensive on some dates.

Be sure (and I insist) to check for discounts or special offers on the excellent Roomguru service. He will quickly and easily show you discounts in all existing booking systems. In Asia, for example, there are a lot of offers on Agoda.com, which are much more interesting than for exactly the same hotels on Booking.com.
For example, here is a direct link to a hotel: a direct link to a hotel Chaweng Park Place .
The checkout is standard at 12. I asked to give me another hour and without any problems gave.
Interior
The rating is 7.8 and 2 stars. In my opinion, somewhere it is, and the rating, and the stars. If you don't need a beachfront resort and are saving money, then the place is good. And located quite well, close to everything.
The rooms are clearly tired, at least the Superiors. Shabby furniture, and the sofa is so generally dirty, it would be necessary to put some kind of cover or cover on it, since the owner chose to buy fabric, not leather. But in general, I would not say that everything is so old, it has happened and worse, so here it is even more or less.
In general, whenever you evaluate a hotel, you need to keep the price in mind. For me, for 1000 baht on the most expensive beach in Samui, it's stupid to ask for something more. Or be ready to live somewhere on the outskirts, from where you can only get somewhere by bike.
The area of the room is quite large, it will definitely not be cramped. Still, the hotel positions itself as an apartment. But the apartments usually have a kitchen, here they were limited to just a sink, there is no tile. However, if you live long, you can buy. But I'm not sure if this is allowed by the rules, there is often a ban on cooking.
Nevertheless, there is a microwave and a kettle, in principle, something can already be cooked or at least reheated. And the minimum set of dishes is present: a couple of cups, a couple of plates, spoons and forks. Further from the technology - a refrigerator of normal size and an antediluvian TV, which I removed to the corner so as not to interfere and free myself a table for a laptop.
The bathroom is small, hot water, everything is as it should be. Soap accessories were also put.
Of the pluses, you can also note the wooden floor. But this is for those who do not like tiles, because wood is very rare in Thai hotels. Of the minuses is the air conditioner unit on the balcony. This is not unusual, they are often placed on balconies, but in my room it rattled strongly (apparently it was badly screwed on), which made it too noisy at night.
I don't know how in other rooms, maybe the blocks were installed normally there. Although the windows in my room still looked directly onto the street, and it is busy, so the noise could not have been avoided anyway. If possible, ask for rooms with a garden view, not a road.
The Internet is different here. About 6 access points. You can not connect to everyone, as they are scattered throughout the hotel. After all, there is not only a building, but also a series of bungalows in the courtyard. So I had 2 points available, and one wifi was dead, the second was quite good for myself, I uploaded all my photos to the cloud without problems.
Territory
The hotel area is minimal. Only a path to a bungalow with a pool and a playground with a pool bar. The pool itself is medium in size, it is quite possible to swim. Considering that you need to walk 10-15 minutes to the sea, no less (through the Central Festival), then the pool is good.
On the map
The hotel is located very well - right in the heart of Chaweng, near the lake and the Central Festival shopping center. That is, there is generally everything you need. The shopping center has a large Tops Market supermarket and a food court, and in the evenings on some days near the entrance to the shopping center, there is a market with food and clothes. Samui International Hospital is located nearby.
There is a small fitness room, there are several buffets right next to the hotel. I recommend walking to the beach through Central Festival, then the road will take about 15 minutes.
I took a taxi at the hotel, it looked like it was right from the hotel, given that the driver was already in the building, and then we went not by taxi, but by minibus. The cost to the airport is 300 baht, quite a normal price by local standards.
