The Pushchino estate on Nara - the ruins of a magnificent palace
After a week in green the city of Pushchino on the way back to Moscow, we dropped into a suburb of Serpukhov in another Pushchino for the sake of another estate. And where there are really ruins is in the Pushchino estate on Nara (not to be confused with the estate Pushchino on the Oka). Even the language can hardly be called a manor. In reality, it looks like after the bombing - only walls without ceilings and roofs with gaping window openings. And the palace was apparently gorgeous before: tall columns with Corinthian capitals and flutes (I found the words on Wikipedia, I have to educate myself, since I am blogging), porticoes on both sides, mosaics on the floor (by the way), stucco moldings on the facades, Italian arches. This house is a vivid example of Russian Palladianism.

Prince S.I. Vyazemsky, brother of A.I. Vyazemsky (owner estates Ostafyevo) tasted good. And despite the fact that very little is left of the house and around the mountain of rubbish, the estate has its own special charm and the imagination itself draws a beautiful picture of the estate. Actually, apart from the ruins of a house and two stone containers, which were probably in the past fountains or ponds, there is nothing else there. And in ten years this will not remain. This territory is simply located in the village and is surrounded by village houses and cottages, that is, it is not a monument. I suppose that making it like that is already useless, it is impossible to restore the house, it will be easier to rebuild a new one. And only 40-50 years ago, the building was in quite normal condition..
Rumor has it that there was earlier from the manor house and an underground passage across the river to the other side. At that moment, when we were climbing the ruins, another company appeared, and the guy said that the last time he visited the estate, he saw the beginning of this underground passage, and now it was apparently covered with earth. On the other hand, all buildings near the rivers have similar legends, although they may not be legends at all. By the way, the place is popular - in an hour while we were there, three companies visited this attraction, and this is on a weekday.
One of the balconies overlooks a dark and dense linden alley overgrown with grass and nettles and leading to the Nara River. But it is better to get to the coast by a well-worn dirt road that goes in the same direction. If you do not turn anywhere, then you find yourself on a trampled area where you can swim.
How to get to the Pushchino estate on Nara
The easiest way is by car and using a navigator, first along the Simferopol highway, then drive through Serpukhov and get to the village of Pushchino, Proletarskaya street (the main road, you will drive along it). The ruins of the estate will be visible directly from the asphalt road through the trees, it is difficult to miss. You can also navigate the ruins of the outbuilding, it is generally right next to the road. Directly to the manor house you can drive up by car along a knurled dirt road (about 100 meters).
Public transport will be more difficult to reach. First by train to Serpukhov, then by bus 29 Serpukhov-Gavshino, you need to get off at the stop immediately after the railway crossing.

It is easy to find, as both the main house and the outbuilding can be seen from the road. The main house is literally 50-100 meters from the asphalt, the entrance (dirt road) is easy to find. Recently, the estate was given into possession, and it is being restored.
