Three Kingdoms Park in Pattaya - expensive and secluded

Officially this place is called Three Kingdoms Park or Three Kingdoms Park - Three Kingdoms Park or The Romance of Three Kingdoms Park Pattaya. This is a little known among tourists, but a beautiful and well-maintained theme park with buildings and Chinese-style decor. A cross between a European regular park and a traditional Chinese garden with pagodas, dragons and lions.

Three Kingdoms Park or Three Kingdoms Park in Pattaya

The park was created by the family of a Thai businessman with Chinese roots, who was very passionate about the Chinese classic novel of the 14th century.. «Three kingdoms». The novel tells about the era when the empire that existed in China split into three separate kingdoms, which were at enmity and fought among themselves for power over all lands. These events took place in the II-III centuries A.D. and about them are the paintings and murals on the walls inside the pagodas and 56 tiled illustrations of the novel on the wall around the park.

The main buildings of the park are 3 pagodas, almost identical in appearance. When I was there, the central pagoda, the largest and highest, was closed for reconstruction, and the other two could be entered. Inside the central pagoda there should be a sculpture of the creator of the park on the first floor, on the second - paintings and murals based on the novel Three Kingdoms, and on the third there is a balcony. If the entrance to the main pagoda is opened, it will be possible to look at the park from a height from the balcony.

In addition to pagodas, murals, figures of deities and fountains, various Chinese-style objects can be found throughout the park: vases inside glass showcases, statues of warriors and bas-reliefs of dragons, wooden plaques with hieroglyphs, bells. If you look closely at the details, you can find a lot of interesting things..

The park is somewhat similar to other themed private parks in the vicinity of Pattaya, which has interesting architecture, well-groomed paths, fountains, lawns and many backgrounds for photos. Such a pleasant and uncrowded place for a romantic walk and a photo session. Something like Silver Lake, Million Years Stone Garden, Love Art Park.

The place is not a must, but if you have already seen everything in Pattaya and you want to walk somewhere in solitude and in nature, then it is a good option. Especially for fans of Chinese history and culture. Nearby there is another place where you can spend time - Siam Country Club. The entrance is free. And next door is a resort Horseshoe point, where, as the name suggests, you can ride horses.

I haven't met anyone in the park at all. Not a single tourist, not a farang, not a Thai. The territory is small, you can get around everything in 20-30 minutes, if slowly, then in an hour.

Information to visit

They charged me 80 baht for a ticket to the park, but they said that after the reconstruction the cost would be 500 baht! This is a lot for such a park, it is better to go to Nong Nooch for the same money. Judging by what I was told at the checkout, not much will be added there after the completion of the work. Perhaps there will be Chinese folk costumes. There will definitely be horses. If a trip to them is included in the ticket price, then even more or less the price is justified.

Opening hours: from 10:00 to 17:00, on weekends - until 18:00

How to get there

Located about 10 km from the Sukhumvit highway. Next to Siam Country Club and adjacent to the hotel Horseshoe Point Resort & Country Club.

Public transport does not go to that area, so either by private transport or by taxi.
