How to get 3-4% cashback from hotels and earn extra money

I have already written about various cashbacks for travelers: cashback cards (debit and credit), pro cashback via Travelpayouts (air tickets, insurance, hotels, car reservations, excursions, etc.). And here's another option for you to get 3-4% cashback from your hotel booking through Tourister. Yes, this option partially duplicates my previous post on this topic, but perhaps you will like it with something more, for example, a more understandable interface. After all, whoever likes what, try it and decide for yourself. And after all, no one bothers to combine - book hotels through Tourister, everything else through Travelpayouts.

For travelers

I think many people know the Tourister service, so I will not talk about it. Not so long ago we launched a special offer for our registered users on Touristher. You generate a special link in your personal account, follow it to Booking.com, and get 3-4% cashback from your booking. Money can then be withdrawn to WebMoney, Yandex.Money or PayPal. It's that simple! If you most often book hotels on Booking’e (and most Russian-speaking people book there), then this promotion should suit you. Surely you don't lose anything.

A special link to Booking will be sent to you in a welcome email immediately after registration. My link looks like this «www.tourister.com/go/5f2a34» and yours will look similar. This link leads to the Booking.com home page. At any time you can go to your personal account in the section «Cashback» and there generate a link to any other Booking page, for example, directly to the hotel. This is optional, but it can be useful if you want to share this link with someone you know or place it on a website. In the same place in your personal account, you can check the number of clicks, bookings and the amount of cashback.

I have not noticed any special conditions for receiving cashback. Again, everything is simple. By and large, there are only two nuances for travelers:

  • You need to follow your link every time before searching and booking a hotel and make sure that the Tourist's logo is always present on the Booking.com website, which will indicate that your link is working and you will definitely receive cashback.
  • Cashback will be available for withdrawal after you have checked out of the hotel. You understand that it is easy to cancel a booking on the Booking, which is why such a restriction is set. But all affiliate programs have it, so nothing new.

In addition to the fact that you yourself can receive 3-4% from your hotel booking, you can also earn a little extra money on your link, distributing it to friends, acquaintances and colleagues at work. Of course, if you want to make money directly, then you need your own website, blog, or at least a popular group on the social network..

For bloggers

Despite the fact that Tourister is an intermediary for Booking.com, you can and should consider them as a separate affiliate program and test it. Moreover, if you work with Booking.com (and not with the aggregators Hotellook, RoomGuru), then it just makes sense to check if it will suddenly turn out more. Below is a mini comparison of Booking and Tourister.

  • Booking has a differentiated earnings scale depending on the number of bookings: 0-50 => 25%, 51-150 => 30%, 151-500 => 35%, 501-more => 40%. And, most likely, most of them have no more than 150 bookings from blogs, that is, they earn 25-30% of the Booking commission. Since Booking takes about 15% of the commission on the cost of the booking, then 25-30% of 15% is 3.75-4.5%, that is, approximately the same percentage that Tourist offers.
  • Booking offers withdrawals only to a bank account or PayPal. Obviously, WebMoney and Yandex.Money are preferable, and the Tourist has just such withdrawal methods. In addition, Booking has a withdrawal limit of at least 100 euros, while Tourist has 5 euros..

Just in case, I remind you of Booking's tricky percentage

I myself will not test yet, since I work with aggregators. Before that, I had already tested both Booking and Agoda separately, and I got fewer bookings from them, and, accordingly, earnings. But I know people who have the exact opposite. It's hard to say why, but it all depends on the specific traffic to the site, there are no universal recipes. I can say for sure that people know and trust Booking, but not everyone has heard about other sites. Therefore, if you describe specific hotels (for the Russian-speaking population), then it makes sense to check how the links to Booking and Tourist will work.

P.S. Does anyone already have experience using cashback from Turistir? According to reviews, I see everything works fine.
