What kind of apartment you can rent in Warsaw - our accommodation
We have been living in Warsaw for several days now. To be honest, we did not have time to prepare for the trip, did not read how to use public transport here, which connection to use, etc. The only thing I managed to do was get a euro card and more or less figure out when to spend euros and when to pay in rubles..
We also did not analyze the housing market, but simply booked an apartment on AirBnb. It may well be that there are better options, or cheaper, but we had to strictly in a certain area and not far from the center. Since we are not alone so smart, we have to book an apartment here six months in advance, otherwise nothing will happen. Nevertheless, we are completely satisfied with our housing. And it's good that I booked it back in September, now it costs even more because of the euro exchange rate, and there is already nothing free in the area.

Price
Through Airbnb, you can rent housing from individuals and without intermediaries, both for a day, and for a week, a month. You can register now and get a $ 20 bonus using this link. The bonus can be used within a year after registration by making the first booking. And be sure to check out my post. about Airbnb, in which I told how to register, how to verify an account, how to look for accommodation, etc..
Here is a direct link to our apartment.
We rented an apartment for 28 days, and it cost us 2800 PLN (100 PLN / day). Not Thailand, however ... For this owner, the monthly price starts exactly from 28 days. We just didn't need more, initially we wanted to go for 3 weeks, but the cost came out more than 4 weeks, so we decided to just live and walk for another week. Airbnb has such a feature, you should always look at the monthly cost, if any. And for daily rent (up to 28 days) the price tag is not at all humane - PLN 160 / day.
Recently, a small upgrade was made in the apartment, curtains were hung, a carpet was laid, and a baby cot was added. The price became PLN 180 / day and PLN 4,100 / month.
On average, apartments in Warsaw cost from 100-200 PLN / day. True, the price in rubles changes due to the euro exchange rate, and noticeably. Those who come for the second time try to contact the hosts directly (they already have contacts) so that the price does not include Airbnb fees, it turns out to be cheaper. But the bad thing is that in this particular area everything is sharpened for daily rent, since they usually come here for 2 weeks.
If apartments and apartments are not of interest, then you can book a hotel. I usually watch them through RoomGuru. Convenient service that you can immediately see prices in all booking systems at once, and choose where it is cheaper.
Interior
The apartment is spacious and quite bright. In the living room, the whole wall is in the windows. There is everything you need for a family: stove, microwave, large refrigerator, kettle, washing machine. The only thing that was missing was the dishes, I had to buy pots, a frying pan and plastic boxes for storage.
The apartment was positioned as a double, but this means only two beds, one in the bedroom, the second in the living room, that is, there are only two rooms (1 bedroom). Since we are now sleeping separately (I am with Yegor, and Daria separately), then anyway we needed exactly two beds. So everything worked out well here, otherwise someone would have to sleep on the floor on a rug. The only thing is that we do not have beds, but sofas from Ikea, but surprisingly it is quite comfortable to sleep on them, only I can’t turn too much, otherwise I’ll wake up Yegor (the orthopedic mattress at home in Moscow is not so wobbly).
From the pleasant - the floor is not a tile, but a laminate. But after Thailand I pay attention to this, where the floor is almost always concrete. Since Egor is always falling, laminate or wood is preferable, and warmer for his feet, in this climate. It's great that there is central heating, and the temperature can be regulated on the batteries.
Wifi is also present, unlimited. And although the channel is not fast, it works stably.
Outside
Our apartment building is fenced and guarded. And it looks better than the neighboring ones. It is probably closer to the category of good (elite?) Housing. There is an underground parking, but since we do not have a car, we do not use it. To get into the apartment, you need to enter the code 3 times. First, the code on the gate next to the guard, then the code for your entrance, then the code for the door on the apartment. When I found out about the codes, I thought it was inconvenient, but I tried it, and after the first day I realized that it’s great to walk without keys and not think about them at all. You just need to remember the combination of numbers. Therefore, I don’t want to take the key (I also have it).
By the way, we have not seen the owner. He just sent in a description of how to get inside (with codes and instructions) and that's it. All correspondence by email. We just arrived, went into the apartment and now we live here. The codes apparently have a validity period and then we will not be able to get inside using them, respectively, the next tenants will have other codes.
The house has the shape of a square, inside of which is an inner green courtyard with plantings and a playground. Comfortable. There were no neighboring yards (not fenced), so I don’t know yet how widespread playgrounds are..
Infrastructure nearby
Those who come to the Olinek rehabilitation center usually live in this area. Poles who rent out apartments here are really lucky, everything is booked all year round and without downtime. For tourist purposes, it is better to be closer to the center, in any hotel, of which a bunch of options.
200 meters away there is a good Tesco supermarket, 100 meters away Carrefour Express, next to which there is an ATM where you can withdraw cash. Also, almost opposite in Olinek there is a bank where you can not only withdraw money from an ATM, but also exchange cash at a bad rate (it is better to do this in exchange offices). Olinek itself is 500 meters from the apartment.
In general, everything is close by, and if you come for a couple of weeks, then you don't have to get out of this area at all, just follow the familiar trajectory and that's it. Comfortable and calm life. But if the soul requires more shops, then you can drive 2 bus stops (or walk 2.5 km) to the Sadyba shopping center, where there will be various boutiques and a large Carrefour. Accordingly, if the soul requires walks, then 1 km in the other direction there is a Lazienki park with birds, squirrels and other.
