Travel in Central Ukraine
Travels. Who would refuse such a vacation? Of course, visiting another country is the dream of any tourist. And how well do we know our land, our city, its history?
Ukraine. Once - Kievan Rus. A country with a rich history, with unique nature, with beautiful folk songs. Taras Shevchenko was born and grew up here. The village of Morintsy, Zvenigorod district, Cherkasy region. Long, immersed in greenery. In the village of Budyshche he got to serve Pan Engelhardt. There is still a manor house with Taras' oaks, under which he composed his first verses. Now these oak trees can embrace seven people holding hands. One of the oak trees, however, was struck by lightning. But human hands carefully revived the ancient tree.
We are going further, to Chyhyrynshchina, one of the historical places associated with the name of Bohdan Khmelnitsky and all Ukrainian Cossacks. Nowadays, the road takes less time, and billboards with various inscriptions about our modern life, such as the sale of coffee machines, adorn our entire journey. Billboards all over the road - nothing can be done, costs of civilization.
If you are lucky enough to get to Chigirinshchina, be sure to visit the Holy Trinity Motroninsky Convent. Having seen a lot in its time, having endured destruction and restoration, in our time it is still a functioning monastery. People come here to cleanse the soul from all over Ukraine.
And, of course, the gold-domed capital city of Kiev itself. It takes more than one day to visit the capital of Ukraine. There is something to watch and something to listen to. Whatever you are interested in: painting, architecture, temples and monasteries - you will find everything in Kiev. If you want to see the general panorama, go up the Ferris wheel. There are several of them in Kiev.
For some reason, I don't want to go back to my civilization at all, even for a cup of hot and aromatic coffee. We decide, sinking to the ground, to visit the nearest cafe, of which there are a great many in Kiev. In the meantime, having expanded the map of Kiev, we will outline the further route. St. Andrew's Uzvoz, St. Andrew's Church - of extraordinary beauty, you must definitely visit. Funicular and Pochtovaya Ploschad, Dnieper embankment - we will also see. And on the Postal Square you can also try coffee. Here, in the old Podil, there are also hotels where you can stay.
Tired of the day exploring Kiev, you sit down in a comfortable chair in a cafe. From the far corner, such a coffee aroma is emitted that one involuntarily thinks that not only beauty will save the world, but also a cup of coffee served on time. And tomorrow will be a new day. Once again, armed with a map, we will chart a new route.
