Leninskiye Gorki - the estate and museum where Lenin spent his last years
We wanted to go to Voskresensk, but Yegor was capricious all night and said that he did not intend to go so far. Therefore, urgently (so as not to cancel the trip) we decided to go closer, and all I could quickly find was the Leninskiye Gorki estate. And I must say we did not regret anything - the place is good for walking, and the company was wonderful.

Manor Leninskiye Gorki
This homestead consists of two fenced areas, one inside the other. The first one is large and represents a forest and fields with asphalt paths. The Lenin Museum is located near one entrance, and the Museum is located at the other opposite entrance. «Lenin's study and apartment in the Kremlin». Actually, that's why these hills are Lenin, Vladimir Ilyich lived and worked here since 1917 and spent about two years in total. Therefore, there is also a memorial alley along which his coffin was carried by the field of death, marked today by granite blocks and chains. So fans of his work should definitely visit here.

The second territory is much smaller, and is located approximately in the center of the first and represents exactly the same museum-estate of Gorki Leninskiye, as well as a reserve. Of course, she appeared here not after the revolution, but long before, back in the 18th century. Changed from hand to hand and rebuilt. I will not list the names, for me they were all unknown, not like the Vyazemskys with their Ostafyevo or Volkonskys with Sukhanovo.
From the architecture you can see: the main house, the outbuildings adjoining it and a couple of rotundas, and from the natural: a well-groomed park with flower beds and two ponds. There is also a luxurious linden alley, several smaller alleys and greenhouses. Also, relict plants grow on the territory and somewhere in the forest there are mounds of the 10th century. In fact, this whole estate is so well preserved only due to the fact that there are museums dedicated to the former leader, otherwise it could not avoid ruin or some kind of ritual revolutionary burning.

Despite the simplicity of the architecture and a certain banality of the place as a whole, it makes only pleasant impressions, and the well-groomed park of the estate, strewn with flowers and decorative bushes, gives only positive emotions. On a sunny summer day, Gorki Leninskiye is the best suited for leisurely walks with a stroller and children. And given the length of the paths and the length of the territory, you are unlikely to have to get bored and walk in circles. It is no less pleasant that the manor museum is not very popular among people, on weekdays there was almost no one there at all, and judging by the reviews on the Internet and on weekends, not much. Surely, the only regulars there are residents of the surrounding houses. I would live nearby, go to the park to work with a laptop on the grass, or like Lenin in the rotunda, you see, he would also write something clever. The leader of the proletariat knew a lot about estates ...
How to get to the estate Leninskiye Gorki
The easiest way is to go by car along the Kashirskoye highway and turn right to the Gorki estate. From MKAD literally 12 kilometers. You can turn off the airport highway at the first right turn, or at the second, there is not much difference. There will be a parking lot in front of the entrance to the estate. If you go a little further (or from the Simferopol highway), then you can drive up to the Gorki estate from the other side.
By public transport - bus 439 from the Domodedovskaya metro station to the Experimental base stop. A large territory is open from 9 to 21, the inner territory of the estate is open from 9 to 18, and the museums themselves from 10 to 17. Ticket offices close an hour before the closure of museums. Closed on Tuesday and the last Monday of the month. Official site of the estate - mgorki.ru.
