What can you buy at a 7-eleven store in Thailand and what are the prices there
About thai supermarkets I already wrote, but not about the popular 7-eleven (7/11) stores. We urgently need to correct this omission, because they sell a lot of useful things for the traveler, and they are found at every step. Until now, we find something new and previously unnoticed ... Although it would seem that the shop is small, what else could it contain?.
There are also Family Mart minimarkets, which are very similar in assortment, but I personally like 7/11 more, and somehow everything is more familiar inside them. In general, I invite you to take a short tour of this store..

general information
How can you pay
For a long time, 7-eleven could only be paid in cash. But in 2017, they began to accept Visa cards. Unfortunately, so far only them and Mastercard are in flight, apparently they could not agree or for some reason did not fit.
When paying by credit card there is a limitation, the purchase must be from 300 baht.
How to find 7-eleven
It is enough to go out into the streets and look around. If you are not in a specific fart, then somewhere on the horizon you will see him, he has a very recognizable sign. True, there are fakes with stripes of the same colors, but 7-eleven will not be written there, but something looks like.
You can also open Google Maps and set a search there, he will tell you, he knows most of the minimarkets.
What they sell at 7-eleven
You will not find normal foods here, such as fruits, vegetables and so on, mostly just fast food. These stores are convenient when traveling around Thailand, when the cafe is far away or there is no time for it, but you need to have a quick snack. Of course, fans of healthy eating will have to pass by, here they can only buy water for themselves, but the rest will find something to profit from.
So, I will try to list from memory what you can buy in 7-eleven. Just keep in mind, shops are different in size, and their assortment is different because of this..
Regular products
Milk (regular, chocolate, fruit), yoghurts, drinking yoghurts (for an amateur, IMHO like flavored milk, not yogurt), Betagen (Thai milk drink), soy milk, coconut milk, rice in packs, palm / sunflower oil, butter, canned fish, sauces, sausages, eggs, oatmeal in bags, condensed milk, honey, instant cocoa, instant coffee, tea, water, juices. Alcohol (whiskey and beer) and cigarettes are also sold.
Fast food
Chips with different flavors, dried fish and squid, seaweed with different flavors, snacks, cookies, waffles, rolls and muffins, snickers and other chocolates, nuts and seeds, «rolltons», soda, iced tea, energy.
Hot food
Sandwiches with various fillings, hot sausages, frozen boiled / fried rice with shrimp / chicken, frozen dumplings (wonton) with shrimp, hot tea, hot coffee. Everything frozen can be heated in the microwave, and the hodog can be assembled by yourself (for example, add lettuce leaves). Spoons / forks are attached to any such food so that you can eat everything at once.
Manufactured goods
In addition to food, you can find a lot of other useful and useful things here. What I like most is that there are all sorts of shampoos and toothpastes in small packages. This is important when you are wearing a backpack, why carry extra pounds.
And so there is all the household chemicals, deodorants, cosmetics, sun cream, mosquito repellent, diapers, pads, ointment for colds, etc. In addition, raincoats, umbrellas, scotch tape, threads with a needle, car chargers, extension cords, batteries, magazines, office supplies, spoons / forks, rubber gloves. Now I can’t list everything, I just don’t remember. But as I wrote above, in very small 711s the assortment is small - there is nothing but food, and even then it is mostly fast food.
Nearly every other 7-eleven has an ATM, scales (weight check for 1 baht), a couple makashnits and urn!
Services
Not everyone knows, but in the Sevens you can also deposit money on the mobile phone numbers of the main Thai operators (True Move, Dtac), pay bills for e-mail, the Internet. You can top up the balance and pay bills at the checkout, with the help of sellers, or you can independently at the terminal inside the store or at the entrance.
In 7-eleven stores, you can even pay for plane, train or bus tickets bought online. To do this, when booking, for example, on the AirAsia website, you need to choose payment through Counter Service.
Through the same Counter Service, you can buy goods in online stores in Thailand. This is a convenient way if you do not have a local bank card. Russian bank cards for online shopping in Tai are unlikely to work.
Well, plus to all of the above, like all networkers, 7-eleven offers a system of discounts and bonuses, holds promotions, credits points, distributes coupons and prizes.
