The Kingdom of Thailand is washed by the Andaman and South China Seas. This state owns many islands, from uninhabited to resort ones. Characteristics of the islands

The most significant island is Phuket, located in the southern part of the kingdom. Its shores are washed by the Andaman Sea. The best time to visit Phuket is between November and April. It is connected with the mainland by three bridges. Almost 70% of the island's territory is covered with hills. The remaining areas are plains. They are occupied by plantations of coconut palms and hevea, as well as urban buildings. Relic plants have been preserved in mountainous areas

The second largest island in Thailand is Koh Samui. It is located in the Gulf of Thailand. The island has a volcanic nature, experts believe that it was formed as a result of earthquakes. The nature of this land area attracts with its pristine beauty. Almost the entire island is occupied by plains. It features a coastline with gentle shores and sandy beaches.

A small but very popular island in the south of the country is Ko Lipe. From it to Malaysia can be reached by boat, spending 1 hour. This island has white sand beaches. Koh Lipe Island is part of the Tarutao Marine National Park.

Popular with tourists is the Phi Phi archipelago, which is located in the Andaman Sea and belongs to the province of Krabi. There are 6 islands in it, but only one of them has a population..
