Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong and the Victoria Harbor laser show
I know that it is commonplace for seasoned travelers, but I can not help but post a mini-reportage about the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong and a light show there. As a rule, everyone is in this very alley during the day, but I didn't want to look directly at the stars embedded in concrete, so it was decided to combine it with watching a light show, which starts at 8 pm and lasts about 15 minutes. I want to note that if you stop at Chunking mansion or somewhere else on Nathan Road, the embankment will be the only normal place to walk. Although no, I'm lying, there is still Kowloon Park nearby, but there is no sea scent and tourist movement, just a park and that's it. What is noteworthy, free wifi was caught on the embankment, that is, you can sit to work or just surf the Internet. I don't know if he is there all the time or not, but there is Starbucks right on the shore, where you can also sit.

Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong
Although I sometimes like to watch various films, I have a very bad memory for names, so I don't know a single director and remember literally a dozen actors. In the Hong Kong Avenue of Stars, so in general, all some unknown people, and many, I think, too. From the acquaintances of me - the legendary Bruce Lee and no less famous - Jackie Chan, these two I remember from childhood. And apparently I will never be able to forget the image of a man in yellow pants and a black stripe on the side that immediately pops up in my memory, as well as another - always fighting with the crowd with all the objects that come across. Then 30 years ago there were not so many films, and we watched them in poor quality on videotapes. Oh, how long ago it was, now one flash drive can fit as much as it did not fit into a whole cabinet before :)
In general, movie lovers will probably be interested, you can put your hands on the handprints of the greats and thus join them. Of course, the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong is much more modest than Hollywood, but where are we, and where is America. I flew to Hong Kong from Moscow on a direct flight for 400 bucks, but you can't get to Hollywood for that amount.
Laser show in Hong Kong
As I already wrote, the laser show starts at 20.00 and lasts 15 minutes. It is the movement of laser beams in the sky and flashing lights on skyscrapers accompanied by music (not quite in time). In fact, I will not say that this show is some kind of special, I was still waiting for some kind of climax, but it never came. For what it was entered in the Guinness Book of Records, it is not clear. I watched the show from the embankment of the Kowloon Peninsula towards the skyscrapers of Hong Kong Island. I think, in the opposite direction, if you look (from the embankment of Hong Kong Island) the spectacle will be even weaker. Nevertheless, you can watch the show, because there is still nothing to do in the evening, especially if you are not too tempted with impressions. Maybe on holidays or on certain dates, everything looks much cooler, but I was out of luck.
Neighborhood of the Avenue of Stars
To get as much experience as possible from this place, it makes sense to walk around the area. There are periodically exhibited figures of some characters, there are mimes, at the intersection of Nathan Road and Salisbury Road, there is a square with a huge tree on a high pedestal, a pavilion with a Time Ball mechanism and old artillery pieces. And if you are tired of this side, then you can easily find yourself on the island of Hong Kong by ferry Star Ferry.

P.S. Speaking of other attractions, I recommend to see Victoria Peak and Big Buddha. City view, beautiful natural views, mountains, trekking, cable car, it's all there.
