Review of 5 apartments in Tenerife in Spain - with views and pools

We spent 3 weeks in Tenerife and constantly moved from apartment to apartment. There were 6 apartments in total. About vintage north I already wrote about some more in Los Abrigos in the south near the airport, I will not tell, since the impressions were not very good. In total, 4 more remains and it is necessary «survey». I hope the post will make it clear what kind of housing is in Tenerife and what to expect.

About apartments in Tenerife

The only way to book apartments for short periods is through Airbnb. Of course, there are all sorts of different individuals, intermediaries, and so on. But if we talk about a service with a large database of offers, then there is a monopoly. And if you book in advance, there are quite a few good options.. «Babushkin» there are very few apartments, and they remain the last. I also noticed that there are a lot of Superhosts, that is, there shouldn't be any problems with them..

According to my estimates, the price fork in Tenerife is from 50 to 100 euros to take off something normal. More expensive in the south, cheaper in the north. Accordingly, on New Year's Eve and in the summer, there are significantly fewer options at these prices. People book a few months before the trip.

Sometimes it makes sense to rent 2 apartments in a row instead of one in order to meet the required dates and it was cheaper due to this. I did just that, that in the end I got 6 apartments :) True, I wanted to live in different parts of the island too.

If you are not renting a car, it is very important to understand where the house is located. In some places, the reliefs are such that you don't want to stomp back from the beach later. It would seem that you are looking, there are 2 streets nearby, only one is 100 meters higher. And just the relief is very difficult to understand when looking at a map on Airbnb. Either read reviews, or include a bump map in Google Maps (and also walk Google Streets) and try to imagine a path to the sea and surroundings.

Apartments in Adeje

Probably the best of all 4. In general, it seemed that it was in Adeje and Las Americas that there were somehow more accommodation and restaurants, more and more tailored for tourists. And civilian apartments come across more often.

The cost is 79 euros per day. Here is a direct link to the apartment.

Despite the unprepossessing appearance of the building, everything is fine inside the apartments: the furniture is not tired, all the necessary equipment is available, all sorts of little things are thought out. As a compliment upon arrival, there was a bottle of white wine on the table, several small chocolates, 2 capsules for a coffee machine. Nicely.

The air conditioner could work in heating mode, you will not freeze in winter for sure. Oven, microwave, washing machine. Kettle, coffee machine, toaster, refrigerator. Big TV. Internet on Wifi flew. For some reason, a lot of towels and pillows were given. Direct dominance of the latter, you don't know where to put them.

Although the window offers the declared sea view, it is mediocre, since most of the view is covered by the roofs in front of the window. Nevertheless, to sit on the balcony in the morning to drink coffee, or in the evening with a glass of wine and candles, this view is quite enough.

The parking is not private, but since the condo building is at a dead end of the road, in fact it is almost private. True, the seats were often occupied. But this is not a problem, if you are not lazy and walk 200 meters, a little lower along the road, while driving to the parking lot, you can stand along the road.

Rooftop pool with sun loungers for sunbathing. And on the ground floor there is a gym. So I never got to it, eh.

A 5 minute walk is a supermarket with limited range and high prices. But no one bothers to walk to the larger store, it is almost at the embankment. By the way, you can walk there in 15 minutes..

Apartments near Puerto de la Cruz

The apartment is not located in the city itself, I am nearby, in the village of Santa Ursula. Probably not worth settling here without a car, because you can't skate in Puerto. But it will be ideal for auto travelers, since the condo is located near the main road and there is a private parking. By the way, there is no noise, the windows look the other way. From here we drove around the neighborhood and, in particular, on Mount Teide.

The cost is 53 euros per day. Here is a direct link to the apartment.

The kitchen is very cool, there is everything you need for cooking

New stylish and modern apartments. Both the furniture is good, and the equipment. Floor-to-ceiling window overlooking lawn, palm trees and pool. There is also a view of the ocean, it turns out quite far away. The sun, unfortunately, does not enter the apartment, only a little in the bedroom in the morning.

There is everything from technology, except for an air conditioner / heater and a microwave oven. And in December it was noticeably cold in the apartment. I had to turn on the stove and oven and put on warm clothes. It has always been a little colder in Ursula than in Puerto, since it is located higher. But, probably, in the summer on hot days it is wonderful here and the condo will not be needed.

There is a dishwasher, everything for baking, seasonings, oil, a bunch of utensils of all kinds, an oven, a refrigerator. A really good apartment to cook with little to buy. Choice of tea, coffee. Washing machine on the ground floor. Normal TV and WiFi (good speed).

Yes, the apartment is two-level, but on the first floor there is only an entrance hall and a wardrobe, and the entire living area is on the second. If you are traveling with children, you are not sure what will fit because of the stairs, they can roll head over heels.

All the time there was a parking space near the entrance to the building. But if anything, there is a private parking in the house and you can get up there.

Walking distance to Lidl. But nothing else seems to be. Only by car.

Apartments in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The city is the capital of the Canary Islands and the largest in Tenerife. You should not go here for a beach holiday, because the port, but you can visit. Well, and quite nearby is the village of San Andres with its yellow sand beach, not volcanic.

The cost is 65 euros per day. Here is a direct link to the apartment.

The view from the window is industrial, but marine

Rooftop pool

View from the roof almost 360 degrees

The apartments are average. It seems that there is nothing to complain about, but they are uncomfortable at all and the ceilings are rather low. The house is not new, it looks like a typical Spanish budget housing. But they are conveniently located on the edge of the city. The center can be easily reached on foot. And in the other direction - 10 minutes by car and you are in San Andres on the beach.

The apartment has a kettle, a coffee machine with a bunch of capsules, a stove, a microwave oven, a washing machine. Minimum furniture. From the window there is a view of the port, and the view, I must say, is quite nice. There is no balcony. But on the rooftop there is an outdoor pool. Perhaps it even warms up from the sun in winter, but this is not accurate, I did not check.

There is no parking, but every time I found it on the street, it is free. And this is also a plus for the location. For example, everything is complicated with parking in the city center, I had to get up on the underground in a shopping center for a fee. I rode in circles for 30 minutes and did not find an empty seat.

Apartments in Garachico

I don't know if it makes sense to spend the night in Garachico or if it's easier to come and see and leave. But the town is dear, stop by, the former capital, after all, which one day «flooded». It is also convenient to go from Garachico to Masca, the road there is very beautiful.

The cost is 39 euros per day. Here is a direct link to the apartment.

Lovely streets can be seen from the balcony

There is only one room, studio. The area is very small, about the size of a hotel room. Instead of a bed, a fold-out sofa. But there is a kitchen: stove, microwave, mini-fridge. There is no kettle or coffee machine. Type of budget housing at all. Washer available.

There is no air conditioning or heating, so it was cool in December. In principle, again, you can turn on the stove, it will warm up the air a little, the area is small.

Balcony overlooking the street from the 4th floor. The sea is slightly visible from the balcony. The view is average, but better than no balcony at all. Can I go out for coffee.

The apartments are located on the 4th floor. If you are a fragile girl with a huge suitcase, it will not be easy. The owner is not always at home to help drag, the keys are given by his mother.

Parking is street and there is too little space. The streets are very narrow. Although literally 100 meters away there are 2 parking lots for tourists, you can safely park your car there. Although I was lucky, I found a place right at the entrance.

There are no supermarkets. In general, in the whole city. Either go to the neighboring Ikon de or towards Musk. By the way, there is a good restaurant Taca there along the way, I really liked it there..
