Haad Kruat Beach has several Latin spellings: Haad Gruad, Haad Kruat and Haad Kruad. I cannot judge which of them is correct, so I am starting from the version used by the publishers of the best tourist map of Koh Phangan. It is handed out for free at the entrance to Tong Sala.
Haad Kruat Beach is a 50-meter stretch of coastline in a small cove between Haad Salad and Haad Yao (Western). In fact, this is the unofficial private beach of the Haad Gruad Beach Resort. Deep, but not the most bathing and, in my opinion, is of little interest. He is needed only by those who live nearby.

Beach description
This part of Phangan has hilly terrain, but is not made up of steep slopes and jungle, but rather similar to Italian Tuscany, only with a Thai accent. Flat hills, sparse vegetation, a lot of free space and, as yet, very few buildings. Judging by the large number of winding paths and slopes dug in places, everything is ready for the sale of building plots.
In principle, the location is very successful, there are large beaches nearby Haad Salad and Haad Yao (Western). The disadvantage of Haad Kruat beach is the beach itself - well, very small. This, of course, is better than nothing, but he is also ugly..
Entering the water, depth and waves
Almost along the entire beach line, on the border of the sand and the resort area, there is a cement walkway for pedestrians. It ends near the Haad Gruad Beach Resort restaurant. To the left and right, Haad Kruat is bounded by rocks, on which there are houses for living and species restaurants.
On the edges of the beach, under the water, there are large deposits of stones, which you cannot run barefoot, and the center is quite clean and even, with a shallow bottom. But the depth on Haad Kruat is deeper than that of the neighbors, and this is clearly seen in the images of the ebb and flow (I only have tidal ones). Chest-deep will be already five meters from the shore. Waves with a tailwind sometimes happen, because of this, the left bank of the beach is reinforced with a stone fence.
Sun beds and shade
There are sun beds, no rental. The question of a sun lounger is decided in the restaurant by purchasing a cocktail, which will be brought to you directly on the beach. So, if the availability of a sunbed is critical for you, then you will not be disappointed. Another question is whether you want to come here specifically as part of a beach holiday, and not just passing through, as I did.
After all, next to Haad Kruat there are much more attractive locations in this regard. Well, about the shadow, I must add that there is a lot of it there due to the dense vegetation. Palm trees cover the beach with an almost continuous dome, leaving only the rightmost corner of Haad Kruat unprotected..

The grass is not very good here, but there is a lot of shade at any time of the day..
Infrastructure
The infrastructure of the beach within a radius of 200 meters from the water lies in what the two largest resorts on the coast have to offer: Haad Gruad Beach Resort and Dragon Hut Resort .
That is, you can have a snack in a restaurant without leaving the cash register, have a cocktail and get several types of massage - that's all right. Another transfer, equipment rental at the reception or an excursion tour can also be sold to you.
But, as it were, that's all. There are no shops or supermarkets nearby, and you have to look for something more serious or alternative on Haad Salad or Haad Yao. There is nothing useful or interesting for half a kilometer around the beach.
Houses and hotels on the beach
As I wrote above, the development of the area has just begun, normal concrete roads have been laid everywhere, and they were not made along the shortest path, but some serpentines were built here, which would only look logical if there were houses. In short, there are street blanks, but there are no houses yet..

How to find the beach
If you start from Tong Sala, then head west, along the road that runs along the sea. Follow the signs for Haad Salad, but you still need to look at the navigator on your phone, because there are no bright landmarks at the turn to Haad Kruat. On the main road, you will come across a fairly large non-chain grocery store, near which there are bikes for rent.
Immediately after it there will be an exit to the left and signs for Lucky Resort, then you should move straight all the time, until the Dragon Hut parking lot, this is the easiest way to get to the beach and not be fooled by looking for parking.
The road to the beach passes through a fairly open area with beautiful landscapes.
It is possible that I flattered Haad Kruada very much about Tuscany, but still.
One of the two roads to the beach suddenly ends with a dirt road. You can ride, but not so comfortable.
There are quite dangerous closed sections on the road. Always honk in places like this.
There is a place for scooters and cars.
