Guy’s Bar (Gayz Bar) belongs to the cult places of Phangan, and for the following reasons. It is located on the east coast of the island, which is still considered quite wild and uninhabited. You can get here either by boat or by land through the jungle. But the person who arrives will have a nice bonus - three beaches in one bay, one more beautiful than the other. Well, and the local infrastructure, to which the Gais Bar and Eden belong, are 2 epicenters of party life..

Gayz Bar on Phangan
Guise Bar is located in the back Haad Tiana - the central beach of three in this location. On the left (when looking at the sea) there is Wai nam, and on the right - Haad Yuan, where the second equally popular bar for the elite is located - Eden Bar. The places are very beautiful, with a minimum set of amenities of civilization, and you have to move here on foot.
Guy’s Bar is, first of all, a get-together and global parties that hit all the posters of Phangan. They play mostly techno, as it seemed to me, or chaos. The tracks are said to change dynamics as morning approaches, but I haven't been in the evening, so it's hard to tell. But I personally liked the morning music. Perhaps a lot here depends on the mood and inspiration of the permanent DJ Guyz Bar - David Chong, who once appeared here and stayed here forever.
A lot of people gather, all different, young and aged, strange freaks and completely ordinary, it even happens that they even come with children. The regulars of Gais Bar (usually living on the island for a long time) gather just in the morning, so it seems that everyone around them knows each other, and because of this, the atmosphere changes a little. Newbies arrive at the beginning of the party, that is, in the evening.
Eden Bar on Phangan
As I said, there is an Eden Bar on the nearby Haad Yuan Beach. It is right at the very beginning of the beach (not yet reaching the water) if you go from Haad Tien. The party in Eden starts about 12 hours after the party at the Gais Bar. Therefore, people come here immediately for 2-3 days, spending the night either right on the beach, or in local hotels, or even hanging out without sleep at all. That is, the party in Gaisa begins at 22-23 in the evening and ends the next day at 12-13 in the afternoon, and then in the evening of the same day the party begins in Eden. Between these parties, you can go to Wai Nam, there is sometimes an auto-party.
Since I'm not particularly partying, Gayza was enough for me and in the evening instead of Eden I sailed home. They say that Eden has a slightly different atmosphere, but no less great.
Information to visit
In addition to alcohol, you can ask for something else in bars, within reason it is allowed. Joints 200 baht. There is not much to eat in the bars themselves, so in the daytime go either to The Sanctuary (Haad Tien) or Bamboo Hut (Haad Yuan). I was in both, everything is quite tasty.
The road here by land is difficult, so you should only go here by jeep and only an experienced driver. Travel time is about 1.5 hours. I don’t know how much they will take, our friends dropped us off. By boat, sail for about 15 minutes with Haad Rina. It costs 300 baht one way. I recommend it by boat. There is still an option to walk along the path, but it is long and it is advisable to have a guide who will show the way.
On the other hand, if you're feeling adventurous, try a car. Anyone who came by boat did not deserve to be here, it's too easy. I didn’t leave the feeling that we were in the Beach movie. A place for the elite, such a backstage and reserved place, which only the initiates know about. It's a joke, of course, but it's true that when you spend an hour and a half driving through the jungle in a jeep, along such a road, wherever I myself go for sure, it seems that I got to some kind of reserved and secret beach. The road is really bad, especially after the rains that have been pouring down for the last month (then the whole region was declared a natural disaster zone). Several times they very steeply cling to the bottom of the stones, several times I had to get out of the car to tell the driver where to go (it blurred a lot), if they sat down, they would have waited a long time for someone who could catch us.
If you suddenly arrive on it, you will have to leave the car in the parking lot. Well, this is not a parking lot, but essentially a roadside, a dead end. It is located a little before Haad Tian beach, and there is no further road, only a path.
