Interrupting the publication of articles about Egypt, I decided to write about a trip to Talezh, to the holy source. And before, I pulled myself out from behind the computer, cleared the flash drive on the camera, and threw the empty five-liter bottles, went to the village of Talezh.
For a year now I have been going there for water, so as not to poison myself with Moscow water, and also to swim in cold water. I deliberately waited for sunny weather to try to take a couple of photos.
The holy spring Talezh is actually correctly called the Holy Spring of St. David, and Talezh is a geographical name. This is a fairly popular place, even sometimes sightseeing buses bring people there, but still not everyone knows.

Holy spring Talezh
Near the courtyard there is a parking lot, which is always crowded on weekends. A shop was recently built near the parking lot «The world of Beresta». There is a toilet nearby - the attraction is not for the faint of heart, who knows.
The very territory of the holy spring in Talezh is ennobled and fenced: paths are paved with stone, wooden stairs with cast-iron railings.
Inside you will find the holy spring itself, embedded in the chapel in the name of the icon of the Mother of God «Life-Giving Source», the Church of St. David, and two fonts: male and female.
Moreover, when the women's font is free, and this often happens, you can go to plunge into it, so as not to stand in line at the men's one. By a strange coincidence, it is several times larger than a man's - like the frame itself, and the bowl itself. Well, this is usually how we always do it, first they do it, and then they think ... But a very long line to the font usually happens only in summer and on weekends. In winter, and especially on weekdays, there are few.
If someone hasn't tried the plunge, I highly recommend it. Getting sick from this is not real! Especially if you dry yourself off with a towel and go to a warm car, not walking in the wind without a hat. I am very sorry that there is no such holy spring near the house, I would dip every day, since dousing in the shower cannot give the same sensations. The mood rises sharply, you get out of there refreshed, vigorous, charged with energy, a red yak baby.
I will not sing laudatory odes to the water that is in the holy spring, you will sing later if you try. Although any spring water is good for me. And purchased and filtered (which is often the same thing) is no longer water.
Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin
On the other side of the village of Talezh, there is the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which has almost been restored.
