House in Thailand by the sea - relaxation in the Sam Roi Yot National Park
In fact, I rarely write reviews of our intermediate housing. Usually, articles about hotels do not go to the readers' mailing list, but are simply placed somewhere discreetly on the sidelines of the site for information purposes only. But then I could not resist. The place is somehow magical and we even regret a little that we had planned only 3 nights here. But okay, I'll tell you in order, because we ended up here quite by accident.

Foreword
When we were deciding how to get to Krabi from Bangkok, I had the idea to take a car instead of an airplane, so that Daria would be at least a little dispersed and remembered what it was like to travel. Many people think that they went to Thailand, how cool, but in fact, our life here differs from Moscow in terms of recreation only slightly: I constantly work, and Daria is busy with Yegor 24 hours a day. So we don't have any travels here.
But just driving a car for more than 800 kilometers is completely unjustified. Firstly, although Yegor has become calmer, but still not a gift, and secondly, every day is torn into a daytime sleep, which cannot be carried out in the car (Egor does not sleep in it). Hence the conclusion - we need stops, and at least two, to go 250-300 km a day, no more. And then I thought, why don't we relax somewhere along the way for several days at once, for example, near the Sam Roi Yot National Park, which is located not far from Hua Hin. There is a sea here, and it should be quiet, since the area is not very resort, and you can go to the national park if you want..

Unit price
Going through the options for staying at AirBnb, I stumbled upon this apartment (almost a villa!). By and large, it didn't matter where, the main thing was on the road to Krabi and somewhere by the sea in a quiet place. To be honest, it's very interesting, you walk around the site, look at any options, ask the price ...
- 1,350 baht on Airbnb inclusive of fees. This is the private 1-bed room unit we lived in.
- Units on RoomGuru 1,750 baht for a studio, 2,300 baht for a 1-bed room, 3,500 baht for a 2-bed room. But these are already other units that the complex itself surrenders. We, as I already wrote, rented the unit directly from the owner.
Alternatively, you can simply search for other hotels in Sam Roy Yot on RoomGuru. A high-quality search service, which, in terms of its functionality, has long been in the top of the best in this segment, and at the same time, there are often more favorable offers for the hotel you are interested in. For ease of acquaintance with the service, here's a green button with a direct link to the metasearch engine.
Through Airbnb, you can rent housing from individuals and without intermediaries, both for a day, and for a week, a month. If you register with the service, you can get a $ 20 bonus using this link. The bonus can be used within a year after registration by making the first booking. And be sure to check out my post. about Airbnb, in which I told how to register, how to verify an account, how to look for accommodation, etc..
Interior
In fact, initially, we didn’t think we would like it so much. Well, the room is decent, well, the pool, just think. Somehow we are indifferent to the amenities, we evaluate them only in terms of having a kitchen and space for a little boy. And so yes, everything is there, except for the washing machine.
Territory
There are several blocks in this complex, each of which has 8 one-storey units under one roof and located around the pool. There are several types of housing: studios, 1-bed and 2-bed. The area is typical for a resort, there is a cafe, a gym. But it's not quite a resort here, because some of the apartments have their own owners (in fact, we just rented such a room). The rest of the apartments are rented through the same RoomGuru, like a hotel.

Dolphin Bay near Sam Roi Yot National Park
The location itself is very quiet and calm. Palm trees grow everywhere, buildings are rare and mostly European-looking private houses, separated by a tropical forest. Dolphin Bay beach is deserted, there are no people at all! Yes, not to say that it is straightforwardly swimable and beautiful, but after the Black Sea and Pattaya beaches, it is quite sea and sea. But bounty lovers will not support me, here and shells are large, and the muddy bottom, and very shallow, that is, horror-horror! In principle, for the fact that there are no people here, he can be forgiven a lot. The main thing is that there is almost no human debris, it's already great. The only drawback for us is the lack of developed infrastructure, although there are a couple of cafes on the beach (average prices), a couple of Thai mini-markets with chips, one water pump, one laundry, and even bike rental. And so you can drive to Tesco, he is half an hour's drive from Dolphin Bay (located on the track).
For the second day we have been here and enjoy the tranquility and nature. After the bustling and bustling Bangkok, this is paradise! How little a person needs to be happy, just sometimes to be in the bosom of nature and take a break ... When I recently traveled north to my mini trip, I checked it out too. It is very difficult to convey in words the sensations, maybe it’s not at all in a specific place, but in the fact that we got to rest, but once again it seems to me that a person just needs to sometimes be in the lap of nature. Moreover, the essence is in nature, silence and lack of people, and not in resorts with their resorts and services ...
P.S. A great place to relax, it's a good place to spend a week or a month, and not just come to see Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, as usual everyone does. I recommend!
P.P.S. Checkin and checkout were very simple, at the reception they gave us the keys, and then we returned them there, and that's it. Disadvantages noticed: broken hygienic shower and strange switching in a regular shower.
