The hotel is located in the southern part of Lamai, that is, almost at the very end of the beach, if you go from Chaweng. Quite good, which can be considered for a vacation, if at the time of booking you are satisfied with the price and there is nothing better. It is not on the first line, but it takes no more than 10 minutes to get to the seashore, in this part the area is already quite narrow. Just take the Deluxe, not the Standard, like me.

Price and booking
At Sea Sun Bungalow I had the cheapest room - Standard for 1530 baht (or 1800 baht with breakfast). The reviews recommended taking the Deluxe (it cost 1800/2070 baht with and without breakfast), because it has a balcony. I didn't, I thought that by and large the difference is only in the balcony and the view from the window, but in vain. During check-in, they gave a compliment - juice.

Be sure (and I insist) to check for discounts or special offers on the excellent Roomguru service. He will quickly and easily show you discounts in all existing booking systems. In Asia, for example, there are a lot of offers on Agoda.com, which are much more interesting than for exactly the same hotels on Booking.com.
For example, here is a direct link to the hotel:Lamai Buri Resort .
Out of season the price of rooms drops to about 1000/1300 baht, respectively, standard / deluxe. But it's better to look at the site, for specific dates, how much it costs. There are also houses, but they are more expensive than rooms, and it seems to me older.
Yes, very close, but closer to the beach there is Aloha Resort, popular with our compatriots. He has a slightly worse rating, but the first line, he can also be considered in this area of Lamai. Checkout at 12 (on the Booking it says that at 12:30), but I left at about 12:50, when they came and said that it was time.
Interior
Rating 8.2 and 3 stars. Probably, somewhere it is, although I would put a lower grade. I liked the hotel much less than Lamai Coconut Beach Resort (it is also 3 stars), at a comparable cost. Here, and further from the sea, the rooms are simpler, and everything is somehow older. But in general, it is normal and most importantly clean. And so, after all, Lamai Buri is cheaper, especially if you do not take it at the peak of the season, for 1000 baht you will get a very good offer.
The room has a new air conditioner, old TV, refrigerator, safe bolted to the wall, a couple of umbrellas, regular towels and beach towels. But for some reason they didn't give me small hand towels. A couple of complimentary bottles of water are standard. The bathroom is simple, without a bath. Soap accessories are present. There is a clothes hanger.
The electricity is cut off when you leave the room, but the refrigerator outlet will definitely work, this is a plus. By the way, perhaps other sockets too, I have not tested. I liked that when the vertical blades were directed towards the wall, the air conditioner did not blow on the bed, as is often the case.
The internet was fine.
Territory and breakfast
Breakfast was included in the room rate. It runs from 6:30 am to 10 am. Quite modest, you can safely book a room without him, you will lose a little. However, the hotel is located near the main ring road and it will take 5-10 minutes to walk to the nearest cafe. In principle, no one bothers to combine breakfast with a trip to the beach, it will be just along the way, but about the beach below.
So what was given. Coffee, tea and «chymotic» juices. Muesli 2 types, with milk. Toast with jam and butter. Three fruits (pineapple, papaya and watermelon) and an equally modest salad set. From the hot one, only 2 dishes are offered, in addition to the omelet: on one day there was fried rice with an egg and vegetables in batter, on the other - fried noodles with an egg and potato cutlets.
There are always sausages and bacon. Everything. You won't go too far. I would also like to point out that several people came 10 minutes later than the end of breakfast and they got it anyway. Immediately remembered Cyana Beach Resort, where I came 5 minutes later and they didn’t give me anything at all, I barely interrogated coffee, miser.
The hotel area is small - the hotel building, restaurant and swimming pool. The swimming pool is open from 8:30 to 20:00. Overall well-groomed and beautiful.
The hotel is located near the ring road, the one along which the main traffic. And just the standards go out there with windows. Therefore, after living a little, I realized that it was still better to take the deluxe.
And the balcony is good and the windows face the sea / pool and not the road. If you have a sensitive sleep and you hear all the noises, then you should definitely not take the standard. And in the reviews, it is the deluxes that are advised to take, it seems that the numbers themselves are also better.
How to get to the beach
The beach is a 10-minute walk away. You need to go down from the hotel and go along Beach Road (road along the sea) to the left towards Chaweng. There, almost immediately to the left in the direction of travel, it will be 7-11, after walking 10 meters from it, you will see a massage parlor and a nondescript building resembling a cafe on the right, and there will be a path (just a path) to the beach near it.
You can also try to go through the nearest resorts that occupy the first line. But, for example, in Aloha Resort there is a sign that it is impossible for strangers to pass.
Another option is to almost walk to Beach Road and turn right on the descent to the Baobab cafe and No stress (there is a sign on the road), although there will be another small descent and ascent. There you can order something from drinks or have a full meal, for which you can get a free sunbed and access to Wifi.
Many people do this, and not only from the Lamai Buri hotel, bikes and cars are always parked in the parking lot of these two restaurants. The baobab is open until 6:30 pm and closes with darkness, Know Stress until 9 pm.
By the way, if you suddenly want not Thai food, but something from the category of raw food and superfood, then on the descent to Beach Road there is a Wild Tribe cafe. I bought a super-duper Coconut Mama ice cream there, it is not cheap (80 baht per ball), but without any additives, I personally know the manufacturer. But this is for special connoisseurs, so you can buy ice cream at 7-eleven.
On the map
It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the nearest 7-eleven, so much to massages and cafes. It takes 10-15 minutes to get to the very center on Lamai, 10 minutes to Macro supermarket. Everything is nearby..
