Less than a year later, as they say, I decided to post photos of one of the most important sights of Bratislava - the SNP Bridge. I sat there, recalled my last trip to Europe (it’s time to go again), and in particular walks in Bratislava, and remembered that I hadn’t written about the bridge. And there is an observation deck at the very top, and I love the observation deck. How is it I could forget.

Bridge SNP
I was in Bratislava for a short time, literally a few days, and one day in the first half of the day I wandered around the old town, passed the SNP bridge back and forth, and in the evening, returning from the sleeping area Petrzalka, I decided to go up to the observation deck of the bridge. Therefore, the views from below were made by me during the day, and from above it is already late in the evening..
It stands for SNP (in Slovak Most SNP), as the Bridge of the Slovak National Uprising. The language is a little similar to Russian, so two whole letters from the abbreviation match. Previously called the New Bridge, and many on the Internet are still looking for it, as «New bridge», not how «Bridge SNP», although this is the same thing. The bridge is not quite ordinary and is famous for being built without a single support under it (only those on the shore), and is held by one suspended support. Length 430 meters.
The bridge is thrown over the Danube. On one side are the sleeping areas, on the other Bratislava Castle and Old city, and also sleeping areas.
From a distance, the observation deck resembles a flying saucer hovering over a bridge. There is a restaurant UFO (UFO), it seems like even good reviews. I did not go into it, but went straight to the observation room. It's somehow silly to go to restaurants alone. So, there is an elevator from the very bottom, by the way, it goes pretty fast and brings you to the restaurant. From where you need to climb the stairs to the roof. The height of the support on which the restaurant hangs is 84 meters, which means that the observation deck is somewhere at about this height from the ground..
Surprisingly, I still remember how uncomfortable it was from the fact that the lookout was shaking under my feet. Apparently because of the structure of the bridge. Perhaps in the restaurant itself it was not so felt, but on the roof it was noticeable. And given the strong piercing wind (the site is completely open), it seemed that now we would fly away on this flying saucer to neighboring Austria.
