Olympic Park in Sochi and the Singing Fountain
For a long time I was going to visit the Olympic Park in Sochi. I wanted it right after the Olympics, but things didn't work out. But better late than never. If you find yourself in those parts, I recommend to go. And just in the afternoon you can walk around the territory and look at the outlandish buildings, and in the evening you can come specially to listen to the singing fountain. As I understand it, locals go there, like in a regular city park. Some to go rollerblading / cycling, some to take a walk with a child, some to swim (in the warm season). It is probably convenient to live nearby, there is always a place to ventilate.

Olympic Park
Honestly. The Olympic Park made a good impression. Yes, you can talk about politics, the need for the Olympics, and so on, but I propose not to go beyond the sights and now consider this object in this vein. So, it looks unusual. Contemporary. That is, it really rolls for a sight, at least once. Well, if you live in Sochi or Adler, then you can still come here to spend leisure time (walks, roller-skates, bicycles, the beach), the territory allows. Especially, I think, there is a lot of space for skaters, where you can get such an area with an even surface in the vicinity. It's not that important for cyclists. Well, the beach is good here, albeit traditionally rocky: there are few people, the embankment is long and refined, the sea is clear.
Look at the photos, you will understand everything yourself. The only thing that bothered me was the mesh fence. He is there everywhere, everything is fenced off, you can only pass in certain places. We did not immediately find the passage to the beach. I suppose it was made for safety, but it is inconvenient and aesthetically creepy not beautiful. The more the fence looks temporary (and it really is not stationary), which gives the impression of some kind of work, construction.
There are several colorful paths in the Olympic Park. I also noticed them when I looked at the satellite map, they are clearly visible there. In good weather and mood, the place is suitable for photo sessions, I think. Although maybe it only sunk into my soul so much.
Singing fountain
When I posted a photo of the fountain and Fisht stadium in the background on the social network, I signed that, they say, look, it looks like an alien beetle. It turns out that I was not the first to notice this angle (it is quite obvious), only usually the fantasy of the people does not end with a beetle, but moves on, you know where. Basically yes, there are some similarities.
On the same day, I returned specifically to see and photograph the singing (dancing) fountain. In principle, the scheme is quite standard - music is playing, and the water jerks in different directions in time to the rhythm. I saw the same fountain once in Barcelona. Nice, yes. But 10 minutes of the spectacle is enough for me, I don't understand how people stood there for an hour and watched.

Map and parking
The point on my map is at a free parking spot. I asked around, this parking is always free and its area is quite large. On the map it may seem that there is a long way to go to the center of the Olympic Park, where the singing fountain is, but in fact there is no more than 15 minutes. At the time of my visit, there was definitely another free parking on the embankment near the sports palace «Large», but rather small. Also, during some events, they open access to other parking lots (at normal times they are closed), but I do not know if they are paid or not. You can also get up in the parking lot of Sochi Park for free.
It's not a problem to get there by car, there are signs everywhere, and any navigator is fine. Even if you make a mistake and go from the wrong side, it's not a problem to get where you need to, the road, one might say, goes around the Olympic Park.
The easiest way to get there by public transport is by train. «Martin». From Sochi, it goes about 50 minutes to a stop «Olympic Park». From Adler, you can either take a train (10 minutes to go) to the same stop, or by bus 124s and 125s.
