One Monday I went to the rides in Sochi Park and found out that they had a day off today. What should a tourist do when the street is pouring like a bucket, and he is already standing in the middle of Sochi Park? My option is to visit the Museum of Retro Cars, which is popularly called the Auto Museum in Sochi. This is a huge pavilion in the northern part of Sochi Park, where dozens of unique exhibits from the history of the Soviet automobile industry are collected under one roof, and I don't know a single boy aged 5 to 45 who would remain indifferent to technology. The auto museum's rating is not the highest, but I was imbued with it. Either childhood spent in the Soviet Union, or, in principle, some love for cars. Not that I was thrilled, but I didn’t regret it at all.

Car Museum in Sochi
Total car museums in Olympic Park 2: one with retro cars, and the second with sports cars (near the Formula 1 highway), but I did not go to the second, so the pictures in the article will be with nostalgia for the USSR. There is a really large collection of Soviet cars, which you will no longer find on the roads. A hangar full of old restored cars, some of which I saw live on the streets of Moscow. And we are not talking about relatively old, but nevertheless modern «penny», but about «Seagulls», «ZIS»NS, «Victory», motorized carriages of the SZD type and other brands that have gone into the depths of history.
The only thing is that the creators of the museum should pay more attention to all sorts of geolocation services, by which people like me choose places to visit. If Yandex Maps is written immediately - «retro cars», then, for example, on Google maps it is necessary to more accurately indicate the theme of the museum. When you see an incorrectly signed point on the map, you do not know that only the domestic auto industry awaits you. Perhaps that is why the museum is given a small rating - because of disappointment and overestimated expectations. Or vice versa, someone does not want to stare at «just cars», but would love to look at old retro cars, and the museum loses its client.
Most of all, I was interested in looking at very old models that I had not seen anymore. For example, a vintage fire engine, or a disabled woman, known from the film with Morgunov «Operation Y», all-wheel drive «Victory» and «Victory»-convertible short «ZIS» with an automatic transmission and developing a speed of up to 200 km / h, etc. Yes, even a penny sparkling with novelty was pleasant to look at, because my grandfather owned exactly the same one. And even though I saw her later throughout my life, and even rode it as a passenger not so long ago. But here, how many people remember that there was a penny station wagon, or rather «deuce». I remember. Like all AvtoVAZ models numbered from 1 to 12, which I learned as a child, I myself do not know why.
Information to visit
The cost of an adult ticket is 500 rubles, children up to 7 years old are free of charge, from 7 to 12 - 250 rubles. The price for visiting is more or less normal.
Individual excursion for 1-2 people - 1000 rubles per person. For a company - from 600 to 400 rubles per person, depending on the size of the group.
Filming inside the museum is free. You can take a retro outfit for shooting with your camera - 150 rubles per service. Well, in order not to get bored, I would advise taking an audio guide for 200 rubles. From myself, I can recommend a mandatory visit to the museum for those who are interested in Soviet cars, or came into contact with the USSR himself, that is, older people. Who else remembers the words of the USSR, pioneer tie, operation «NS», brick-15 and orange gum with Dunno on the wrapper.
