I have long wanted to go to the Baiyoke Sky Hotel - the tallest hotel in Bangkok, but everything was not on the way. On this visit, I decided to set aside a special time to visit this place. Let it be a banal attraction for some, but I love the views and the height. Almost always in large cities I visit high points, for example tower menara in Malaysia, or Victoria Peak in hong kong.

Bayoke Sky Hotel
For guests of the Baiyoke Sky Hotel, a visit to the observation deck is free, for everyone else for money. At first I had the idea to rent a room there in order to save money. Having looked at the prices on the Internet, I saw that the cost of a double room starts from 2000 baht. Thus, if you visit the observation room for money, rent a hotel somewhere else, and take a taxi to Bayonque, then it will be quite profitable.
True, a 2000 baht number is not always worth it, and reviews on various booking sites indicate that it does not match its price very much and you can find much better. So I didn't live in it this time. However, somehow you need to drop in for a day to check how it really is.
By the way, if you rent a room on the spot, then the prices are already higher, somewhere from 4000 baht for the simplest number that you cannot take. So, if you decide, book in advance..
Baiyoke Sky Hotel>
Please note that there are 3 zones there: Standart (22-45 floors), Sky-Heavenly (46-63 floors) and Space-Space (64-74 floors), and prices differ depending on the zone. To see as much as possible from your window, you need to settle in the topmost one (Space). And it's better not to book the standard at all, everything is not very good there..
It is best to get discounts on hotels in Thailand through RoomGuru. Here's a direct link to Baiyoke Sky Hotel , be sure to see, before booking, whether there is anywhere else a discount for it or not.
Observation deck on the 77th floor
So let's go up together? If you buy a ticket at the bottom, then immediately after entering the building there will be a special elevator leading only to the observation deck (the rest of the elevators go to the 18th floor and to the rooms).
So, this elevator has a glass wall. And after a while after the ascent, you will see how you are gaining altitude. If you want to stand close to the glass, then immediately push yourself to the rear wall of the elevator, it is it that is transparent.
The Observation Desk on the 77th floor is the first of the observation decks. It is closed and you can only look at Bangkok through the glass splattered with foreheads and fingers. However, this is not reflected in the photographs..
You can come here right before sunset and have time to take daytime and sunset photos. As it gets completely dark, we rise higher.
Observation deck on the 84th floor
On the 84th floor, there is a second platform (Revolving Desk) that rotates around its axis. We climb it after the first one either by elevator or by stairs. It is open and here you will hear the city noise and feel the warm wind, the immersion in the height is more complete.
My first thought, well, finally here you can shoot not through the window ... But it was not there, because instead of them there is a grid partially covered by plexiglass. Night photos from here are just as difficult to take, because the platform is moving and there will still be blur, even with a tripod. And somewhere at 6 pm, a blinking backlight comes on.
There are several restaurants under the roof (Bangkok Balcony, Bangkok Sky, Stella Palace, Crystal Grill) that Russian tourists love. However, in the hotel itself, it feels like some compatriots. Since I have not been to restaurants, I cannot say anything about them..
If anything, then downstairs in the nearest shopping center (Fashion Mall) there is an ordinary Thai food court, where prices are normal, not tourist ones. I indicated the food court on the map, it is next to the famous Pantip Plaza, 10 minutes from Bayok go.
Opening hours and ticket prices
Opening hours: from 10:00 am to 02:00 am.
Ticket price: 400 baht. The price includes a drink at the Roof Top Bar on the 83rd floor.
But there is a life hack. You can pay a little more and get many times more. You need to buy a ticket not to the observation deck, but to the fruit buffet (buffet)! The ticket must be bought online through Klook. A voucher will be sent to the email and then it must be shown at the entrance.
Fruit Buffet Ticket>
Entrance fee: 490 baht per adult and 250 baht per child up to 120 cm. Included in the price: unlimited drinks, Thai fruits and visits to the observation decks. It turns out to be more profitable, especially if you are hungry. The buffet is open from 10.30 to 20.30.
On Klook, another option for the more hungry: Dinning Buffet. Also a buffet, but not a fruit one: typud, pizza, pasta, desserts. The cost is 575 baht per adult and 330 baht per child. Lookouts are included with the price. Quite. The only thing is that the choice of time there is not very large (there is lunch and dinner).
And then there is a restaurant on the 81st floor. For those who want dinner in a restaurant with a view, not just a bite to eat and a lookout. Naturally, you can go to the observation deck from the restaurant..
How to get to Bayok Sky
The Bayoke Sky Hotel is located next to the Ratchaprarop MRT station, this is the City Line that goes from Suvarnabumi airport. That is, to go in a straight line, about 20-30 minutes, and then another 5-10 minutes on foot from the metro. It is not difficult to navigate, the hotel can be seen from almost all sides, it is also the tallest.
You can also come from the side Lumpini park, on foot or from other metro lines. Alternatively, take a river tram along the klong, which is convenient if you get from the Khao San Road area..
