Paradise Park on Koh Samui - petting zoo and colored pigeons
Finally, we got around to writing a post about a wonderful place on Koh Samui - Paradise Park, where we went with the whole family. In fact, I'm not sure that it makes sense to go there without children, because the price for a ticket is not the lowest for Thailand, and it is the children who may be most interesting there. Why? Because there you can touch the animals with your bare hands and feed them. It's still not as interesting for an adult as for a child. True, ours did not really appreciate, he was afraid of everyone. But he is so shy at first, he first needs to get to know the person / animal better :)

Paradise Park and my impressions
Surely I have already said that I do not really like all kinds of zoos, but starting with Zoo in Chiang Mai, I started to change my mind. However, the point here is partly in Yegor, I want to give him the opportunity «chat» with an animal. Therefore, the first thing we did was to go to Paradise Park. According to the reviews of parents with children, it's very cool there. And, indeed, we liked.
As you enter, you immediately find yourself in the bird kingdom. Almost by the hand he grabs the local staff and drags him into the cage with parrots. Food is provided free of charge. We, however, retreated, as these parrots are too small for us and went to the large ones sitting in the wild. One of them speaks at least English. I read that he knows Russian phrases, but he didn't want to say anything to me except hello.
Besides them, you are surrounded by colorful pigeons. Probably the first thing that catches your eye is their color. Did they paint them from a spray? Visually incomprehensible, no traces of paint are visible. But if you google, then you will find out that they were painted. Someone considers this a mockery, someone does not care.
Pigeons are tame and eat from the hands, which all tourists, including us, like. Yegor, at first, looked with apprehension, but then he saw that if his mother's hand was pulled up and down, the pigeon would flap its wings. It's funny!
There is also a rabbit, an iguana, a gibbon Cola (for Russians, just Kolya). I saw many photos on other sites of how Kolyan was sitting almost in an embrace with visitors, but he stubbornly ignored us and kept flying between the bench and the roof of the canopy. But on the way back he showed interest and took Egor by the hand / leg. Maybe it was in the Coca-Cola that some stupid person gave him.
Then, before leaving, we still looked at the deer. But since it was almost before the closure of the farm, we came empty-handed. So the deer did not want to approach us. In general, they are hand-held and can also be ironed (during feeding). Nearby there were also enclosures with goats, ostriches and a horse, but they did not go to them. And they also found a rather strange thing there - a dead deer. It is very strange that no one took it away, obviously it did not lie there for five minutes.
Well, since we are pretty much tied to Yegor's sleep, it is very cool that there turned out to be a place where you can rock him in a sling, and then sleep. And at first they bought until they were full in the local pool, and then on the side. Originally thought on a sun lounger, but there are problems with the shadow, she quickly runs away. In general, it turned out to be an ideal place in this regard. And while mine were snoozing, I made circles in Paradise Park and was looking for something else interesting.
How to get there and ticket price
You will have to get here, either on a rented bike, or on a rented car, or by ordering a transfer (this is offered by them on the website, which is not working now). From the main road you need to go uphill for 10-20 minutes, it will be difficult to walk.
Entrance fee: 400 baht per person, 300 baht per child. Small children for free.
Transfer from the hotel + entrance: 800 baht adult, 600 baht child 3-10 years old. There are other options, with a visit to the Magic Garden, elephant rides, etc..

Paradise Park is located almost in the center of the island, so it is hardly worth settling nearby. But if necessary, you can search for hotels nearby using RoomGuru. You can also see our personally compiled directory of houses on Koh Samui and detailed review best hotels in Koh Samui.
There are two roads leading to Paradise Park from the roundabout, one is more convenient to go from BangPo / Nathon, on the other - from Chaweng / Lamai. In principle, if you miss one, then you can go to the second, no problem, they are not far from each other. The path that is closer to Nathon is shorter and has fewer turns, it is better to go along it if you do not drive very well. It is difficult to get confused, there are signs everywhere. But there is a problem with the signs on the ring road, they are not clearly visible!
