Mobile 3G Internet True Move: connection, SIM cards, packages
I already wrote an article about mobile internet from Dtac. There is all general information on the Internet in Thailand and details about Dtac. In principle, the Internet from Dtac suits me for everyone, but due to the fact that for some reason it is poorly caught on the upper floors (and we first lived on 29th, and then on the 9th), then I had to try other operators. Actually, that's why I am writing a short note about the Internet from True Move, it may come in handy for someone. Although their coverage is worse in the country, and they are good only in Bangkok, it seems. Although, when I drove in the north of Thailand in the mountains, in some places the True Move had 3G, and the Dtac only had EDGE (slow speed) or nothing at all. I tried it somehow AIS.

SIM cards True Move
Traditionally, the site at Tru move is such that the devil will break his leg there. I do not understand the logic of Thais at all, no matter how much I search on their sites, it is always somehow all through one place. So, SIM cards are different, and depending on them, one or another Internet package will be available to you. Naturally, not all SIM cards are available to foreigners without work visas (that is, tourists).
Passport when buying a SIM card is required!

3G Tourist Inter Sim
Most often, everyone has 3G Tourist Inter Sim, which are of three types: free (issued at the airport), for 49 baht, for 299 baht. The latter are bought, for example, in store 7-11 or in Family mart.
- Free SIM cards, judging by the reviews, it is better not to take, Internet packages are somehow problematically connected to them. The people write that they connect, but the Internet is not. And you have to call the operator's office, or go.
- Tourist Sim for 49 baht includes 90 megabytes of free internet. Next, you need to connect the package, for example, unlimited for 450 baht (Net 450).
- Tourist Sim for 299 baht includes unlimited internet for 7 days. Next, you need to connect the package. The tariff is convenient for checking the speed of the Internet and quality, as well as if you arrived just for a week on vacation.
Also, at the very beginning, these cards require activation, you need to call 9302, listen to the balance, and hang up.
Other sim cards
There are other sims as well. Their set varies, and not all of them are sold freely. In particular, I just bought Manchester United Sim for the same 49 baht, internet packages are available for it a little cheaper, the difference is somewhere around 50 baht, and the list of tariffs is more extensive. Manchester United Sim does not require activation, inserted and immediately works.

About 3G packages
First of all, you should know that any unlimited 3G in Thailand is only conditionally unlimited. That is, you are given a certain amount of gigabytes (1-3-5-6) at the maximum speed (which is possible in this place), and then the speed is cut to 128 kbps or 384 kbps. In both True Move and Dtac, everything is the same in this regard. Therefore, you should always look at the limitations..
Also, all tariffs do not include Vat, which means the price needs to be increased by 7%.
The Internet package is connected via the USSD code or by calling * 9000 and choosing there via the voice menu.
3G Tourist Inter Sim
Unfortunately, the site does not say anything about restrictions, so I will explain. Net 450 tariff (* 900 * 3345 #) is 1 GB of traffic at maximum speed for 30 days, and after the traffic is exhausted, it is cut to 128 kbps.
There is also information that other tariffs are available for these cards, but whether this is so, and what restrictions they have, I do not know. What is in the picture above is anyway, it is taken from the official site at the moment, the rest is from the network. I do not exclude that somewhere on the site there is also about these tariffs, but I did not find it right away.

Other sim cards
There are different lines of tariffs iTalk, iNet, iSmart for such SIM cards. We are interested in the iNet line, it is she who is sharpened for Internet users.
As you can see, for tariffs 299 and 399, the speed is cut to 128 kbps, for 599 and 899 to 384 kbps after the traffic is exhausted. And also free True Move Wifi is included in all tariffs (it is quite common in Bangkok).
There is also information that other tariffs are available for these cards, but whether this is so, and what restrictions they have, I do not know. What is in the picture above is anyway, it is taken from the official site, the rest is from the network. I do not exclude that somewhere on the site there is also about these tariffs, but I did not find it right away.

Pro Package 1699 - 10 Gb - 30 days - free Wifi - additional service to the existing package
I chose the tariff for 599 baht for myself (with Vat it turns out 650 baht). It has not yet reached the threshold and the video skype is working well, but I wonder how the limitation will work, whether it will be very noticeable.
How to connect the Internet with True Move
I don’t know for all or not, but for sure for many, the Internet from True Move does not want to work right away. Either the settings are not wired into the SIM card, or some other problem, but they need to be set manually in most cases - either by creating a new access point, or by fixing the old one. I tell you how.
For android: Settings -> Mobile networks -> Hotspot -> Add new.
For iPhone: Basic -> Network -> Cellular Data Network -> Cellular Data (APN, Username, Password). And then enter everything that is written below.
Name: True Internet
Access Point (APN): internet
User name: true
Password: true
Access point type (Type): default, supl, net or default, supl
Next, you need to poke at the created access point, making it active. After that, you may have to restart the phone, but it immediately worked for me, it was only necessary to turn on mobile data.
How to top up your True Move balance
The easiest option is at the 711 store. There you can buy a money card or pay directly at the checkout (slip). In the latter case, you need to know your phone number and dial it in the terminal near the cash register.
But if you have webmoney, then you can pay directly with them, or on the official website, or through an exchanger. Moreover, I would recommend the exchanger, where the rates are much better and you can pay with WMR, but on the site only with WMZ. Although there is no difference in the case of payment via WMZ.
