Nahai Beach is slightly inferior to the beach Pang Ka in its open spaces after low tide. Slightly it falls short of 200 meters of the exposed bottom. But what you see in Nahai after 12 noon is enough for you to get a pleasant experience and a set of bounty-style photos. Nahai starts from the destroyed pier of the village of Hua Thanon and ends two kilometers later, with a small, kilometer head, similar to the head of a hammerhead.

Fine-grained, light, almost white sand covers the entire bottom of the sea, which becomes a beach after low tide. The sand is very densely packed by waves, compressed to such an extent that locals calmly ride on it in pickup trucks, going about their own business. Cleanliness is poor, especially in crowded areas.
I'm serious - Hua Thanon, a Muslim fishermen's village known for its freshly caught morning market, is not a model for hygiene and environmental protection. The peculiarities of the profession and the cultivated indifference for centuries have led to the fact that it is unpleasant to breathe, look and be in Hua Thanon..
Hotel customers stay in their sign-protected area, combining the pool with the seascape. In case anyone is interested in reading about other places, I have a short overview of all the beaches of Koh Samui, will help you decide on the choice of the beach.
Entering the water, depth and waves
Usually there are no waves on Nahai. The sea is limited by small lambs, without disturbing the rest on the shore. And in complete calm, the sea turns into one huge mirror measuring a kilometer by two hundred meters. At high tide, the water rises to the very edge of the sandy strip, and at low tide it goes 150 - 170 meters towards the horizon.
Sun beds and shade
On the beach near Hua Thanon, fishermen have occupied the entire coast with boats, tackle, garbage and bamboo houses in which they rest. There are sun loungers in front of the hotels, but on their own territory. There are no sun loungers, umbrellas, air mattresses and other beach equipment on Nahai.
The area is quite isolated, shops are rarely found, closer to the village of fishermen and Hua Thanon. The nearest hypermarket is located on Lamai 8 km to the north, it's about 15 minutes by car.
Local attractions near Nahai:
- Kitesurfing School;
- Show of marine animals and tigers (Samui Aquatic Animal and Tiger Zoo);
- Butterfly Garden;
- Temple of Samret (Wat Samret);
- a mosque in a fishing village.
Houses and hotels on the beach
Development of the area around Nahai Beach is very rare, mostly good hotels and private luxury villas. Everything is behind high fences, guarded, with gorgeous facades. The degree of property protection is off scale here, and the lawns of the hotels, which are located right on the shore, are studded with posters with prohibitions on various kinds of actions..
Private houses are rare, and they are all in the interior of the island. The hotel administration is forbidden to: pass, stand, lie down, eat, bring animals, take pictures and land with a parachute. Apparently, tourists and kitesurfers are very annoying.
One of the most attractive hotels right on the beach is the beautiful modern X2 Resort Koh Samui. Another great place to stay is the exquisite Baan Buaa Beachside Villa with Thai motifs in architecture and modern design in interiors..
Also not far from the beach is a small, three-storey, Natien Residence hotel with a good environment. If you want to book a hotel here in advance or look for accommodation on other beaches, I have selection of hotels on Koh Samui with a good rating and reviews.

Be sure (and I insist) to check for discounts or special offers on the excellent Roomguru service. He will quickly and easily show you discounts in all existing booking systems. In Asia, for example, there are a lot of offers on Agoda.com, which are much more interesting than for exactly the same hotels on Booking.com.

How to find the beach
In order to get to the most beautiful and impressive section of Nahai Beach, you need to before reaching Hua Thanon (if you go from Nathon on the Lamai) turn off the ring road onto road number 4170, and then follow the signs for the zoo. There is a large parking lot near the zoo, where you will have to leave the equipment and walk the rest of the way. But this is far from the only way out to the sea.
