Lae Lay Grill is not the tallest seafood restaurant in Krabi, but the best quality Thai cuisine. It is located on a hillside, right between the beaches Nopparat Tara and Ao Nang, though not on the shore itself, but a little in the depths of the location. The restaurant was recommended to me by local expats, and there are two restaurants on the same hill - Lae Le and The Hilltop Ao Nang, and Lae Le is the best.

Lae Lay Grill Restaurant
It so happened that my day of visiting the restaurant turned out to be full of adventures: trekking to the top of Tub Kaek and ascent to the pagoda at the top of the cliff near Tiger Temple coupled with inclement weather did their dirty deed. I came to the restaurant already tired and late in the evening, so in the pictures I only captured the menu, my dinner and a little bit of the interior. An attempt to photograph the view outside the window did not lead to anything, but this will also be useful information for you (when you no longer need to come). In general, the place is not for every day, but for special occasions, I would say so.
The restaurant has a transfer service for those who have booked a table, which is a huge plus in a tourist resort. Considering that Lae Lay Grill is on a dais, no one smiles at the opportunity to come to the restaurant lathered like a horse. Still, it is hot in the tropics even in the evening, especially during the rainy season. Well, saving on a taxi is also good news..
The best time to visit is at lunchtime or at sunset. At lunchtime, good views of the valley, the bay of Nopparat Thara beach open and the mountains on the horizon are clearly drawn. At sunset, you catch all of the above, plus the phantasmagoria of the sunset sky. Add to this picture a cocktail, a fresh breeze, live music and book tickets immediately 🙂 Just how it turned out in the advertisement. But personally I like Krabi, once I lived there for 2 months.
Information to visit
Open from 11 am to 10 pm. There is a transfer service - I wrote about it above. Next to the restaurant there is a large fenced (but not guarded) parking lot for cars and scooters of the restaurant's guests. The entrance is located to the right of the parking lot, up the stairs.
Portions are small, deliver quickly. Prices for the resort are average (maybe above average), although there were many reviews on the network that Lae Le is a very expensive restaurant. I would not say that it is very expensive here, in all similar establishments there is about the same price tag. Some dishes are generally cheaper than I've seen before. But it all depends on what you order. Alcohol and seafood by weight are usually the most expensive..
It mainly serves Thai food, from which I ordered a Fried squid with salted egg for 250 baht, a seafood salad called Mermaid for 180 baht and a pineapple shake for 90 baht. So I ate normally for 600 baht in total. Everything was delicious, I have no complaints about the quality at all. All seafood was perfectly fried, otherwise it often happens that half-baked ones give.
A separate line in the check is the service fee and Vat. Thus, the total cost increases by another 17%..
