I was often asked why you are going to Turkey, this is a pop and not interesting country ... This is probably the opinion of many people who travel only to the resort area of Turkey, for example, to the city of Kemer. My expectations were fully justified, this is a very interesting and hospitable country, where you can go more than once, and not for one week. We managed to see only a small part in two weeks.
The trip was postponed several times and finally took place. Several options were thought out on how best to get to Turkey and back, but as a result we stopped by plane. The main problem was that we flew on a hot tour to Antalya, and wanted to fly from Istanbul. This did not make the trip cheaper, to put it mildly, but I wanted to save some money. The toad was strangled, and everything turned out exactly as it was convenient for us..
Where to stay in Kemer
I have selected hotels in advance where you can spend the night, I share with you. Orange Garden Apart Hotel and Forest Park Hotel. They are located not quite close to the sea, it takes about 15 minutes to walk, but the park is nearby and the reviews are good. But if it's direct in principle, then you can take a closer look, since there is a map on the site. True, it will be more expensive then, and if on the first line, then even more expensive.
We did not live in these hotels, as we were traveling on a burning tour, but I was calm that if we suddenly decide to stay in Kemer, we will know where to spend the night.
Kemer - the beginning
The flight Moscow-Antalya is familiar to many: drunken Russians, starting the fun at the airport, a noisy plane, and an equally noisy transfer, with songs and shouts. This is how the apparently ordinary vacation to the resort Turkey begins. Our vacation was unusual, so we read maps and guidebooks all the way..
The city of Kemer, if it can be called a city, greeted us with a cheap three-star hotel and cloudy weather. By the way, the food was tolerable, we had enough of everything. Only those who go there to eat complain. There was even free wifi. All the pleasure cost 8600r for 4 days (with a flight) for two, so it's ridiculous to demand something for such a price. If you want more comfort - pay more 🙂
A guide is attached to each hotel. So our guide did not know anything except prices for excursions in Turkey. And she made big eyes when we said that we wanted to go on an excursion on our own, and at the mention of hitchhiking, she strove to fall out of the chair. Therefore, we scooped all the information from the Internet and travel guides..
The resort town of Kemer itself is boring - hotels and the beaches, cafes and shops shared by them. All around there were Russians, the feeling that he had arrived in Gelendzhik. Even in the hotel, almost everyone spoke Russian. And in general, the impression of a kind of civilized Caucasus, only the mountains are higher.
Who needs a resort Turkey, then here is the very thing, a beach vacation, sea, entertainment. Quite to myself, everything is cute and pretty.
I honestly walked around the city of Kemer and was looking for something not a resort, but found only a trash heap and a sheep.
If you type the sights of Kemer in the search engine, then a huge number of sites will fall out telling how there are many of them. But in reality they are not. The city of Kemer is empty in this regard. And all the sights of Kemer are at a distance from it, sometimes quite decent. Until the same Demre 100 km to go.
Although, no! There is one attraction in Kemer. A miracle of Russian production, converted into a pontovoy convertible. We meet the VAZ 2108!
No less pompous there is also another person on a motorcycle.
It was a bit wild to see oranges on trees in the city, not apples. Moreover, they fall and lie rotting, which is unusual to look at, you want to pick up and eat. A kind of waste, because we only have them in the supermarket.
Naturally, in the city of Kemer, we did not sit and drove around. The weather was chilly and I only swam in the sea once. But what clouds lay on the mountains, lovely sight!
And here is another photo, which for some reason reminds me of Thailand, in which I have not yet been ...
