To mysterious Cappadocia (Turkey)! To Nevsehir! Part 7
New day, new hitchhiking! So we thought when we went out on the track in Beysehir. The next item on the program is Cappadocia (Goreme). In sweet anticipation of new impressions, I raised my hand in anticipation of the stalled car and stood there for 1.5 hours. Then, about joy, a man drove up in a broken-down car of an unknown make. We take a very long time «communicated» in Turkish, showing the maps to a friend, looking for the desired destination ... And after the words: «- OK? OK!» He left despite the hope in our eyes. What we talked about is still a mystery.
Deciding that it was time to take a bus, we returned to the bus station, and after a couple of hours we were driving in a comfortable bus towards Nevsehir, one of the cities of Cappadocia. The ticket cost 25 lira (500 rubles). On the way, we passed Konya - the capital of whirling dervishes. This is a kind of spiritual development. You spin around your axis and like an almost enlightened lama. Unfortunately, we did not see the dervishes from the bus window, people walked in the usual way and did not turn around..
In one unremarkable place, the bus stopped and either a piece of a tractor or a hefty walk-behind tractor was shoved into the luggage compartment. The floor of the bus poured out to watch this action. However, this is not how equipment is transported here..
The mountains gave way to fields, plowed or planted. Provincial landscapes amaze with their color sequence. Probably, these same 60% of the population, engaged in agriculture, live here.. .
Finally we were dropped off in Nevsehir, the center of Cappadocia. We decided not to look at Nevsehir itself, as it was getting dark, and therefore we immediately went to look for a minibus stop.
To the village Goreme, where all the sights of Cappadocia are located, we got to dolmus almost at night.
And again, under cover of darkness, for the umpteenth time, we had to look for a place for a tent. It’s interesting, I’ll tell you, to climb an unfamiliar area between mushroom-shaped rocks with a flashlight. Bumping into a sign «Take off area Anatolia balloons», we were not at all embarrassed to stand 100 meters away from her. No, well, we knew that a balloon is a balloon, but we did not imagine the scale ...
At about 6 o'clock in the morning we jumped from loud noises. As we later realized, it was the burners of the balloons that hissed so much, and jumped out of the tent. And around us the darkness darkens these balls, and one of them hovered over us, and people wave their hands to us.
It turned out that we were standing not far from the launch site of these same balls. And there are dozens of them in the sky now, the rest are noisy at the start, and all this at 6 in the morning!
True, we still did not change the place, since it was only 10 minutes walk to the center of the village, the place is secluded and there are almost no people, except for those in the baskets of balls. The prices in the campsite are 20-22 lira (400-440 rubles) for 2 people and tents per day, and do not correspond to the data from the Internet. In principle, it is not very expensive, but our place was no worse, only there was no water, but even then a solution was found, thanks to clean and free toilets.
To be continued ... In the next article - 2 days of independent excursions in Cappadocia.
